The Shark Of Barcelona Ferran Torres Revived Under Hansi Flick

Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Since Hansi Flick became FC Barcelona's manager, there have been incredible changes in the squad as a team and also individually among the players, and one of the players I want to highlight in this post is Ferran Torres, aka The Shark. Ferran Torres is one player who has gotten the bad side of the FC Barcelona fan base since he was signed by the Xavi 2021 summer transfer window. At first, many Barcelona fans complained about the 55 million Euros Barcelona paid to Manchester City for Ferran Torres, and I was among the fans who complained about the price.

Ferran Torres started decently for Barcelona, but things went downhill after Ferran Torres performance in the Europa League in 2021 season when the Spanish forward had multiple chances to score but missed all of them this caused Barcelona's Europa League run came to an end in the second leg of their match against Frankfurt where Barcelona lost three-two at home. If Ferran Torres had taken his chances, who knows Barcelona could have won the competition that season because they had a good run in the competition.

Ferran Torres got no support from Barcelona fans as he got whistled, and many wanted Ferran Torres to be sold by the club, but the player was willing to stay as he has always said he wants to succeed at the club and doesn't want to leave Barcelona. Premier League clubs came but Ferran was not ready to listen to their offer as he said he only wants Barcelona and nothing more again. I was surprised that he was willing to stay with all the hate he was getting from Barcelona fans, as it was clear the fans didn't want him at the club.

Last season there was a change in Ferran Torres as he would come off the bench and score goals, but he was not good when he started matches as he always messed up his chances in front goal, but this season is totally different as Ferran Torres has been incredible for Barcelona off the bench and when he starts matches. Ferran Torres scored back-to-back goals for Barcelona in two recent matches this week and now has 20 goals for club and country despite playing fewer minutes this season. Hansi Flick has made him dangerous on the field now that it's expected that Ferran Torres will get a goal once he is on the pitch.

The big question that is on everyone's mouths is that if Hansi Flick could revive Frenkie De Jong, Ferran Torres, and Raphinha, then why has he not yet done the same for Ansu Fati, who has been sidelined for months on the bench? When Hansi Flick was asked about Ansu Fati's situation, he still gave the same response that he had been given for weeks. He said everyone has to work hard and prove they deserve a chance to play, and with this statement, it just seems Ansu Fati is not giving his best to what Hansi Flick wants in training, but I still think Ansi deserves some minutes at this point.

The match against Girona yesterday would have been perfect but Hansi Flick still didn't let the Spanish forward get some game time. Hopefully, Hansi Flick will try to give Ansu Fati some minutes soon because it's becoming like an agenda against Ansu Fati. FC Barcelona will be playing midweek against Atletico Madrid at the Metropolitano for the second leg of the Copa Del Rey competition.
