Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Today, I want to give my take on Barcelona-raising youngster Lamine Yamal. The 17-year-old Spanish winger has been in the headlines since the beginning of last season with the Euros and the ongoing Laliga Santander season. There is something special about Barcelona Academy [La Masia] because each year, they never fail to bring out promising talents to the world of football. I can argue that when it comes to which club has the best academy in the world, La Masia is number one, and no other academy comes close to it; not even Cobham comes close to La Masia.

In terms of quality, La Masia is by far the best, and I am not capping it because we have seen it with our very eyes on our screens. The 8th time Ballon d'Or winner Leo Messi started off his career at the La Masia academy before getting a big promotion into the Barcelona first team the rest is history ever since because no one can deny the fact that watching Messi play on the pitch is magical and I am happy to have witnessed his era in the world of football.

It is not just Messi who came out of La Masia as there are others like Xavi, Iniesta, Pique, Puyol, Fabregas, Sergio Busquets, Sergio Roberto, and so on. These players, at a point in time, made their mark in the world of football, and some are considered legends at FC Barcelona. It did not just stop in the Messi era as we keep on seeing young, talented players break out into the first team from the academy each year.

Lamine Yamal took the Euros 2024 competition by storm and was one of the key players that led Spain to the final of the competition and beat the golden era boys of England to be crowned Champions Of Europe. Since the start of the new season, Lamine Yamal has had a goal contribution in each game he has played; if the lad is not scoring goals, he is giving an assist, which is crazy because, at the age of 17, he is already an important player for the Barcelona team.

Thursday night's Champions League match would have ended in a good celebration if Barcelona had won because of the milestone Lamine set as being the second youngest player to score in the Champions League. The record holder of being the youngest player to score in the UCL is another Barcelona player, Ansu Fati, who returned to action on Thursday night against Monaco after suffering from an injury during pre‐season. I am looking forward to seeing Ansu Fati return to form, and with Hansi Flick saying countless times that he trusts Ansu and hoping he will lead the team this season is the confidence boost Ansu Fati will need this season.

Lamine Yamal has gotten recognition from both Leo Messi And Cristiano Ronaldo. The two greatest players to have walked the football pitch have noticed the expectational talent of Lamine and have said he will do great things in his career. Lamine Yamal has already been added to the Ballon d'Or nomination list and is going to win the Kopa Trophy by the end of the year. I am looking forward to Lamine Yamal having an incredible season in La Liga and the Champions League.

So guys this is where I say goodbye. Thanks for taking your time to go through this post and I hope you have a fantastic weekend.
