The Decline of a Prodigy: Ansu Fati’s Struggles and Uncertain Future at Barcelona

Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Ansu Fati has been one of my favorite La Masia players after Messi, and I can't help but feel sad seeing him go down this train in his career. There was a report that Ansu Fati was emotional for not being picked among the squad for the match against Athletic Club last week Wednesday in the Spanish Super Cup. Ansu Fati was not even on the bench for that game, and there have not been any explanations because Fati was fit and even played some minutes when Barcelona faced Barbastro in Copa Del Rey. Fati has been struggling to get his form back after suffering from injuries multiple times over the past three years. Ansu Fati was sent on loan last season to Brighton, hoping to get more playing time since former Barcelona manager Xavi didn't have Fati in his plan last season. At Brighton, Ansu Fati still struggled with his injury problems and barely played a full minute in Brighton. It didn't go well for Ansu Fati in Brighton as the loan deal came to an end last summer, which saw Fati return to Barcelona under the new management of Hansi Flick.

When Hansi Flick was appointed as FC Barcelona manager, I remembered he talked about Ansu Fati a lot and was going to give him a chance he needed to get back on form on the pitch. During the preseason preparation, Ansu Fati was given a personal trainer to practice more on the even after teams' regular training sessions. Ansu Fati gave his best during the training session, but yet again, he picked up an injury and was unable to go for the preseason tour in the United States of America.

It is hard to see Ansu Fati go down this way because from the training videos and even the little minutes he has in some matches, he gives his all but still it doesn't seem to work out for the Spanish forward. It had been confirmed by reliable sources that Ansu Fati's exist this January has not been ruled out which means Fati could be heading to another club this January if a good offer comes, but so far there have not been any reports about any club approaching Barcelona for Fati at the moment.

Barcelona has been patient with Ansu Fati, but if they can give him the rest this season to prove he still has it in him to play for Barcelona, if nothing changes they can do whatever they wish and nobody will blame the club. Barcelona will be playing Real Madrid tonight for the Spanish Super Cup title this evening, and it is not likely that Ansu will be featured in the match, but let's see how it goes tonight.
