The Champions League Draw Is Done
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. The UEFA Champions League draw has been released and it has been an interesting draw as it gave what the fans have been longing for since last season. Most people think this might be a sell-out by UEFA to make more money from these fixtures, knowing how it has been a fan request for a long time, and for sure they are going to make a lot of money from these games. FC Barcelona got two fixtures in the Champions League, which I had hoped would happen in the draft when it was first announced.
FC Barcelona will be facing Chelsea away from home and PSG at home in the league phase of the Champions League. The Chelsea vs Barcelona match is just perfect as a lot of answers will be given on that day of the match. Chelsea fans have been saying since last season that they hoped to meet Barcelona because of the high-line Hansi Flick and his boys played frequently since the start of last season. Chelsea fans say they will do a lot of damage to Barcelona if they play against the high line, and I can't help but find it a joke.
Real Madrid fans said the same thing last season and got beaten four times when Barcelona faced them in the league and domestic competition. How many times was Mbappe cut offside from this high line and he is a fast runner. Chelsea could score, but do they have the defence to stop Barcelona when they push heavily on the attack? That is the question they should ask themselves, because until the last minute, I am 100 per cent certain that Barcelona will not stop attacking until they achieve their main purpose of outscoring their opponents.
There have been talks that the match will be at Stafford Bridge and I am likely to have people quickly forget how Barcelona played last season. Home or away they will pounce on anything to achieve a win at all costs. It is going to be an interesting match and I can't wait to see everything unfold next month. The next match, which got a lot of people talking, is FC Barcelona vs PSG, and yesterday this match has gotten a lot of attention since last season, as many people have wondered how it will go down if PSG and Barcelona face each other, as they have been on incredible form since last season.
PSG are a solid team and has a good attack, and the same goes for Barcelona, and both teams have good quality in the midfield. It will be interesting to see how Luis Enrique's side goes head-to-head against Hansi Flick's side this season, but from the start, it will be an evenly matched match-up, and in the end, I trust Barcelona to come out of that match with a win. These are just words, and it's just a matter of time before we see how these two matches will pan out. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good weekend.
