Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Telegram is no longer an underdog when it comes to being among the top social media apps used by millions of people around the world. It got more popular with many users after the launch of NOTCOIN coin which has been one of the popular tap-to-earn games in the crypto space. Telegram also gained more popularity when founder Pavel Durov was arrested by the French authorities when he landed in France, and it got X and Start Link owner Elon Musk advocating for the release of Durov on X. As time went on, Durov was released by the French authorities.

Telegram has become known for its tap-to-earn game and also mining games, which, in turn, for active participation, users will receive an airdrop for engaging in the game. However, everything seems to have changed as new projects on Telegram and even old ones that are yet to be launched are now turning into retroactive airdrops, which means getting a tangible airdrop will determine the amount of money the user spends during the airdrop farming period.

It has gotten a lot of controversial comments as some people think asking for TON transactions (telegram token) to get more tokens seems unfair as other users who are willing to spend huge amounts to get more allocation than users who did not make a transaction on the project and I have seen that firsthand in some of the recent meme coins in Telegram launched as it rewards users who spent a good amount of money on the project and while others that do not spend.

At the same term, some users, especially influencers, have supported the active spending of some airdrops and bash people who do not agree with them as they say cryptocurrency is not a get-rich-get-rich gimmick as no one is forcing anyone to spend on the airdrop. My opinion, I don't have issues with any project that wants participants to spend to get a huge chunk of airdrop allocation, my problem is that they should state it from the beginning of the project to give users the choice to participate or not, but not bring that option after many users have gone two to three months into the project then the project start asking users to make transactions and start making it a major criteria for airdrop allocation.

This new move by some of these airdrops is already creating a lot of fuss about the TON Ecosystem, as some users are no longer seeing a long-term plan with the blockchain. There has been a major decrease in active participation by some users as the performance of some of the airdrops that have launched this past month did not live up to the hype the project carried for months. The truth is that all the airdrops on Telegram and the TON Ecosystem have now become retroactive and some people are still yet to accept it, and it will keep going this way, but I still think there will be a breaking point soon.

So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good day.

I think they have turned the airdrop thing into a money-making machine, why should I pay a large sum of money for an airdrop that I'm not even sure of how much token allocation I will get?

And the worst is, most of these tokens' market value when they eventually launch isn't encouraging.

The players need to get wise and put those projects in their place, I beg.

You made a valid point. This project is not more focused on rewarding active users but is more interested in getting liquidity from users, and if this keeps on going, the TON Ecosystem will be affected, because more people every day are calling for some of this project to be canceled and one of them just got delisted from Binance this week.

That is a nice development, I hope more of the shitty projects follows soon.
