Rodrygo's Departure From Real Madrid Remains Uncertain
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. One of the prominent names on the transfer market about two weeks ago seemed to go quiet for the past weeks. Real Madrid winger Rodrygo's future at Real Madrid has been a speculation as the Brazilian could leave the club this summer. The last time there was news on Rodrygo, it was reported that he was in talks with Real Madrid to discuss his future, and it was noted that Real Madrid is open to letting the player leave if a good offer arrives for the Brazilian.
The clubs that were linked to Rodrygo were Arsenal and Liverpool. The Gunners were discussed more frequently as the next destination of Rodrygo even before the player entered into a meeting with Real Madrid. There were talks on how Mikel Arteta appreciated the Brazilian quality and would love to have him at the club. There was no direct contact with Arsenal or Rodrygo's camp during that period, but rumours were spreading fast around the news that it would be the next destination if he decides to leave Real Madrid this summer.
Liverpool weren't in the picture at first, but with the speculation during the past weeks about Luis Diaz's potential departure from the club, it was reported that the Reds could push for the Brazilian if Diaz leaves this summer. Now, Luis Diaz is no longer a Liverpool player after Bayern Munich and the Reds came to an agreement of 75 million euros to sign the Colombian winger this summer. The Colombian winger was keen on the move to Bayern Munich, and although Barcelona was in the picture, the Catalan giant was not willing to spend more than 60 million on the player, which was communicated to Luis Diaz's agent.
It is safe to say the possibility of Luis Diaz playing for Barcelona in his career is now wide of the mark. Liverpool is occupied now with closing the Alexander Isak deal with Newcastle United, as it has been a hectic negotiation for Liverpool, as Newcastle is not making it easy for the Reds. Once Liverpool is done with Alexander Isak I think then they will focus on getting a replacement for the winger spot in the squad. Federico Chiesa is still a Liverpool player and I wonder if this season will be the best for him at Liverpool. Since Luis Diaz is gone he will be getting more game time at the club.
It didn't change anything as Liverpool is open to Chiesa leaving this summer, and the Italian only wants Italian clubs as he wants to return to the Serie A next season. It would be nice to see Rodrygo play for either Liverpool or Arsenal next season. Xabi Alonso is not counting on the Brazilian next season with the way he sidelined the Brazilian during the FIFA Club World competition. The summer is not over yet, and who knows, Rodrygo could end up staying at Real Madrid next season. So guys that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
