Real Madrid Not 100 Percent Yet

Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. What a weekend we are having in football, as the result of that weekend has been shocking, and I am sure no one was expecting what happened yesterday in the Premier League and La Liga to go down. It's no news that if you have been following my post, you will notice I create more La Liga content, especially about FC Barcelona. Today I want to look at FC Barcelona's rivals in the league: Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid. Yesterday, the Madrid Derby took place, and after the full 90 minutes, Atletico Madrid came out on top, beating Real Madrid 5-2 at the Metropolitan Stadium.

It has been quite some time since I wanted to drop a post on Real Madrid's performances since the beginning of the season, and yesterday just confirmed what I genuinely thought about the team since the start of the season. Real Madrid had a good run in Laliga since the start of the season as they have won all their matches except from yesterday game this is what most neutral fans will think, but it is actually the opposite because this Real Madrid team has not been tested by a top team and yesterday just proves that the team still needs a lot of rebuilding to be back on track.

The Real Madrid vs Marseille is another game to prove that the team is not 100 per cent yet. Marseille outplayed Real Madrid in that Champions League game, but Real Madrid won that match because of the two penalties given and one of the penalties I strongly believe should not have been given, it's Real Madrid, and if there are no refereeing decisions that don't favour them, then something has to be wrong. Xabi Alonso is trying his best to rebuild the team, but is he ready to go toe to toe with top teams and come out with a win? That should be the question.

Now the same Atletico Madrid team that won yesterday are struggling a little since the start of the new season in La Liga. Atletico has won three matches, drawn three and lost one since the start of the season and are sitting in 4th place of the La Liga table with 12 points. This loss from Real Madrid yesterday could affect them going forward into the season, or may not, but from what I picked up in that match yesterday, there is no way Madrid is going to beat Barcelona on the 26th of October in the first El Clásico of the season.

It may seem harsh, but Real Madrid are far from winning a title this season, and it may seem a bit early to say this, but hopefully they can prove me wrong. However, I won't be surprised if they finish this season without a trophy. In the coming weeks, we will see if their performance will improve. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
