Real Madrid Draw Gives Barcelona The Edge To Top The League Table
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. The weekend just gets interesting in Laliga as the title race is reaching its climax for the second part of the season. Last week Real Madrid dropped points when they faced Atletico Madrid in the Madrid Derby. The match ended in a 1-1 draw as both teams left the Santiago Bernabeu with a point each and FC Barcelona made sure to capitalize on the opportunity to reduce the gap as they beat Sevilla away from home last weekend. This weekend just got a lot more interesting as Real Madrid today dropped more points as they played away from home to Osasuna.
Real Madrid played a 1-1 draw against Osasuna this afternoon, which has now given Barcelona the chance to completely close down the gap as Real Madrid is leading the Catalan giant with just three points, and the Catalan side has a game in hand which will be played tomorrow. One thing is going to happen tomorrow, and that is Barcelona beating Rayo Vallecano to be levelled on point on the table with Real Madrid; plus, if Barcelona wins tomorrow, they will be on top of the table as they will be leading with goal differences against Real Madrid.
Atletico Madrid also dropped points this night as they played a 1-1 draw at home against Celta Vigo this afternoon, which has given Barcelona the edge to go past them and lead with just a point. The only thing that will stop Barcelona from not topping the table tomorrow is themselves because I see no point with Hansi Flick and the boys not going into that game with everything they have to grab the vital three points needed to top the Laliga table.
Jude Bellingham was sent off in today's match so saying a bad word against the referee is fair from my view because Bellingham deserves that red card and I don't understand why some fans are saying he didn't deserve the red card when this same guy has been constantly causing out swear words week in week out against the referees, but when Lewandoski just made a gesture against the referee he was given three-match ban. Laliga is ready to take the fight to Real Madrid, who have been trying to manipulate the referee with Real Madrid TV, as Laliga president Javier Tebas is getting everything ready for the club to be sanctioned.
It is going to be a big day tomorrow as all eyes will be on the Catalan side to see if the club will capitalize on the golden opportunity to claim their spot back on the Laliga table. I am looking forward to that match tomorrow and hope Hansi Flick and the boys will give their all to secure the three points tomorrow. FC Barcelona are on the right track to win trophies this season, and tomorrow's match will give more clearance to why this Hansi Flick team is currently the best in Europe. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
