Premier League Plot Twists: Arsenal's Struggles, Manchester City's Resurgence, and a New Year's Football Outlook

Happy New Year community. I wish you all a great year ahead with good things to come. So the last game week of the English Premier League had a twist in the just-concluded weekend. Arsenal who are looked at as the favourite to win the Premier League Title( by their fans) lost twice last week in their Premier League fixtures which is not like them since they have had a good run since the start of the EPL campaign season. Before the 2023/2024 season, I made it clear that Manchester City would win the league this season and I don't see any other team coming close to snatching the title from the defending champions.

Manchester City has done the impossible and we all can agree on that fact. The 2021/2022 season is the perfect example of how Manchester City can be deadly and brutal when challenging for the EPL title. Liverpool was at their best coming from each matchday with a win and only lost 2 games in the whole season. They were pretty much the favourite to win the league as many football pundits and fans talk a lot about their incredible run but did you know what Manchester City did at the end? They came from behind and won the league with just a point separating them from Liverpool in that season.

Arsenal and Tottenham never miss when it comes to bottling jobs ( I apologize to any Arsenal fans who read this but that's the truth) last season Arsenal got knocked out of the Europa League and the FA Cup just to focus fully on winning the premier league title. They were doing well but as the season began to end they began to lose key matches which caused them to put an end to Manchester City's reign in the EPL.

Last season was the best time for Arsenal to win the league because most of the top teams in the EPL struggled last season. I remember mentioning that if Arsenal failed to win it last season then they should forget about winning it this season and the three couple of seasons to come and presently they are currently sitting on the 4th place in the table with 40 points and two points behind league leaders Liverpool, Aston Villa and are behind Manchester City due to goal difference.

Arsenal lacks consistency and it has been killing them for the past seasons now. This is the EPL any form of slip-up could be the end of a title race. Manchester City, which seems to have been struggling for the past three match days, will turn up soon I promise you and don't be surprised if City goes 10 games unbeaten this year because it will happen differently trust me on this one.

The season is entering the second part so there are still a lot of things to come this year. Looking forward to the next matchday and I hope you all have a blast this year. So guys that will be all for now and once again Happy New Year.
