MEMEFI's Launch Controversy: Is the TON Blockchain Losing Credibility?

Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Yesterday, another telegram tapped to earn a project launch, and yet again, the expectation of many users who participated in the project went down the drain as they felt they did not get rewarded enough for the time they put into the project for the past eight months. The MEMEFI tapped to earn the project's first start as a non-spend-to-earn project and even mocked their counterpart Tapswap on the same space for asking for an amount of TON to double their in-game balance.

It's funny how the same MEMEFI tap-to-earn project changed its strategy after canceling its first launched date and became a spend-to-earn project all of a sudden and they did worse as they found different ways to make money from participants in any way they could which was plan pathetic as on their game interface the first pop up you will see is do a daily check-in for 0.5 ton which cost 3 dollars and this check-in is to be made every day during the farming period.

They did not stop there to go on to tell users if they buy a certain package of spin, they will get a certain package of spin for free, and they still went as far as asking people to spend star to double their airdrop points the same thing they mocked Tap Swap for doing so time ago. The project got a massive backlash from participants when it launched yesterday, and finally, people are beginning to see there is no future with the TON blockchain as these tap-to-earn projects are giving the TON blockchain a bad reputation in the crypto space.

It is just going downhill from here as now all the projects built on Telegram are now spent to earn, which is about to push many users away from farming this kind of project or even participating in any project within the TON ecosystem. There is no doubt that TON has potential and could be a huge deal in the long run, but with these projects driving users away from its ecosystem, the question is, will TON still have its numbers going forward in the long run?

The standard that NOTCOIN made is still yet to be surpassed since they first launched earlier this year. There has not been a project since NOTCOIN on the TON Ecosystem that came and did not ask its participants to do any form of transactions to qualify for a certain amount of airdrop. Before MEMEFI went live yesterday, I told a friend that MEMEFI would determine if the farming projects of Telegram are worth it, and frankly, they have caused another upset for the TON ecosystem.

It would be good if TON could come out to address these issues, but we are in web3, and TON is not a centralized ecosystem, so they would not stop these projects that are just here to take many people's money and offer them peanuts. It is going to be a long ride for many people who have faith in the Tap To Earn projects as we start the countdown to the year, and I just hope they see the bigger picture and move to a better ecosystem like the hive blockchain, which offers value for time.
