La Liga Has A Long Way To Go

Source

La Liga happens to be one of the best leagues in the world but La Liga has a lot of issues and I think if they are not addressed soon the league would be in a difficult position in the future. Current La Liga President Javier Tebas needs to step down from the presidency position because I don't see any positive impact he has made in the last ten years since he was elected as the president of the league. It is not just because of the Tebas and Barcelona saga alone, but the way he has managed the league is very poor on his part.

During the Vinicius racist issue last season, when Tebas was asked about how La Liga is handling issues concerning racism, Tebas said that La Liga does not have the authority to pose sanctions on the clubs whose supporters were racist to opposition players. It did not sound right because Vinicius' issue was not the first case in La Liga history, so how did managing those issues in the past?

The good thing that came out of the Vinicius issue was the quick response from the Spanish government as they sent officers to arrest the people involved in the racist chants. La Liga has also been struggling to get investors into the league because of the strictly imposed rules on how clubs are to spend in the transfer market which is one of the main reasons the league is not competitive as the Premier League.

La Liga rules strictly allow clubs to spend based on what they earn, which is why Saudi Arabia or rich businessmen don't go there to buy a club. Sevilla came out after they won the Europa League to tell the general public they are bankrupt. It has gotten to the extent Sevilla are willing to sell their star goalkeeper Bono to the highest bidder in the transfer market.

There was even news flying around about Sevilla putting all their players for sale in the transfer market so they could gather money to clear some of their debts and avoid Tebas getting involved in their business. FC Barcelona coach Xavi has come out to complain and said that La Liga was not what it used to be when he was still a player and also said he understands why La Liga is not getting more tv ratings is because of the poor management system and referee officiating which I agree with Xavi. La Liga is heading in the wrong direction and needs to be put back on track before it becomes too late.

So guys that will be all for now, thanks for stopping by and have a good day.

It's crazy how they are going down so fast. Just recently Fabrizio has confirmed their number one goalkeeper Bono has been sold to a Saudi Arabia club and very soon Tebas will be knocking on their door with restrictions because of their bankruptcy.
