Injury Set Back For Raphinha Ahead El Clasico
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. The El Clásico is one day away now, and things are already getting heated up between Barcelona and Real Madrid. Still, the answers we are looking for will be on the pitch this coming Sunday. Injuries have hit both clubs since the start of the season and little by little we are hearing how some players are already given the green light for the match this coming Sunday. Ferran Torres who picked up an injury during the international break will be available on Sunday for the match. However, it is still uncertain whether he will start the match.
It is important to note that the health of the players comes first and I am sure Ferran Torres is excited for Sunday's match I would love to start, but he is just coming back from injury, plus Sunday's match will be a physical game so he has to be at 100 per cent or risk relapsing and going back to injury. Raphinha was back from injury and trained with the squad, as it seemed everything was fine with the Brazilian, as it was expected that he would be available for the El Clásico match, and I was hyped because the hunger showed that this guy wants to be back to help the team.
Today things changed as it was reported that Raphinha left the training ground as he felt discomfort during training today. This new development, even without me being a medical official, suggests that Raphinha will not be able to play in the El Clásico this Sunday. It is a real bummer because I was looking forward to seeing the Brazilian on the pitch again. Raphinha's last season was amazing with Barcelona, and let's not forget how impactful he was in the four times Barcelona faced Real Madrid last season alongside Lamine Yamal and Lewandowski.
This will give Rashford the opportunity to start on Thursday in his first-ever El Clásico match, and everyone is expecting the Englishman to give a good performance against Real Madrid. I am sure many Barcelona fans are curious to see how Hansi Flick will set up his team and give the final instructions to his assistant as he will not be present on the bench side because of the Red card he received last weekend against Girona. There have been a lot of applications for the decision to be turned over, but nothing has changed.
Lewandowski is another important player who will be missing the game on Sunday. At this point, I will be impressed if FC Barcelona leaves the Santiago Bernabeu with all three points, missing important key players in Barcelona. Hopefully, all the players from both teams recover quickly and join the team in the long-awaited season. It's all going down on Sunday and I can't wait to see what both teams have installed for us this weekend. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
