Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Yesterday, if I am correct, the second captain of the FC Barcelona squad, Frenkie De Jong, was interviewed by the FC Barcelona media team. It was more of an interview to clear the a with the rumors flying around about the Dutchman's place at the and how he refused to undergo surgery on his ankle, which has seen him out since last season up till now from playing football with the team.

In the interview, Frenkie De Jong expressed how his injury has affected him psychologically and how difficult it has been for him to recover, and I understand because picking an injury three times on the same ankle can be pretty tough for a player. De Jong also expressed how he was not happy not to have participated in the 2024 Euros with the Netherlands national team and wished he was fit to help the national team in the competition.

The Dutchman also expressed his disapproval of the rumors flying around saying he gets paid higher in the club and said in the video that those figures are not true. I can't blame De Jong for coming outside to clear the air because some Barcelona fans want him out of the club and are already seeing the Dutchman as the problem of the club because he doesn't want to take a pay cut or renew his contract with the club.

This interview was necessary to clear the air and make the public know the real facts, but what will follow later on is his actions and if the Dutchman will renew his contract add the club because like it or not Frenkie De Jong is one of Barcelona important player and the most experienced midfielder on the team which is why the club and team still needs him and more importantly he is the second captain after Ter Stegen for the team.

Frenkie De Jong talked about his recovery and how he is eager and ready to return to the squad soon. The Dutchman said he is ready to give his all under new manager Hansi Flick and would defend the Barcelona badge at all means and also help the team the season. There is news flying around and even Hansi Flick confirmed that we could see Frenkie against Young Boys tomorrow in the Barcelona UCL match.

It is good news for the squad as Hansi Flick needs all the quality for the matches ahead this season. Gavi could also be returning to the team soon as he is seen trying with the rest of the players in training sections. Frenkie De Jong has said what he needs to say, and I hope the attacks by some Barca fans are reduced as we need to support the players. Knowing the quality De Jong has, they need him back on the pitch.

I'm looking forward to the game tomorrow, and I hope to see Frenkie De Jong get minutes soon on the field. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
