Flowers Are Much More Than We Think
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. It's day 5 of the Mayininleo prompt and the topic of today's is nature-related, so stick with me as I dive into nature also if you wish to participate in the Mayininleo initiative I will drop a link to the thread for today's topic at the end of the post so stay tuned, and without further delay let's get started. Water makes up 71 per cent of the earth's surface, and the remaining 29 per cent consists of the continent and islands. That just tells you how the earth has little land, but water has taken up a huge quantity of the earth's surface.
Scientists have even made a discovery of water within the ocean they believe is more than the 71 percent water in the earth's surface which is fascinating and they are yet to know how this water got there and if it could be much bigger than they calculated. The 29 per cent of the land on the earth is filled with amazing things that have contributed to the earth's ecosystem and also some have affected the earth's ecosystem, which is due to human activities on the planet, but times are changing now as more countries are already moving to clean and renewable energy that is environmental friendly for the earth ecosystem.
One major feature of the earth is the air and soil, and the major one is the plants and trees in the earth. Trees and plants are the major features of the earth that help its ecosystem and also living things. All living things need air to breathe and stay alive except for the aquatic ecosystem. Air is a fundamental part of living being able to stay alive. Scientists have said that humans breathe out carbon dioxide, which flowers and trees take in as their oxygen and breathe out their carbon dioxide, which in turn serves as oxygen living things breathe. That is why it has been advised for people to plant trees and flowers around their vicinity to get fresh air.
Flowers have always signified beauty and love. It has been a form of experiencing love towards another person and also signifies gratitude. Different cultures use flowers to celebrate around the world, and one of them is Hanami, which is celebrated in Japan. Hanami always occurs in spring in Japan and is a traditional flower viewing of cherry blossoms. It is an important part of Japanese culture, and the locals celebrate it with their friends and family.
In every part of the world, flowers are used in wedding celebrations. It is more like a custom that every wedding for flowers to be present at weddings and each colour of the flower has a significant meaning like the red in the rose signifies love, rose, courage and beauty. In Nigeria, different cultures use flowers to celebrate their festivals, and even most cultural performances adorn themselves with flowers performing well in festival activities, and it always comes out beautiful when displayed.
Flowers also add to the beauty of the environment. I have seen videos and pictures of beautiful landscapes filled with flowers that were displayed. It's truly incredible when you see these pictures and videos. Sometimes, I just wished to be in that place at that moment. I have promised myself that once I get the opportunity to travel around, I will do a lot of sightseeing in different places. Flowers are a beauty, and although I have not gotten a flower yet, hopefully, someday, someone will give me a surprise. So, guys, that will be all for now.
