FC Barcelona's First League Win For The 2024/2025 New Season
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. The new football season has begun, and we have seen some incredible matches on matchday day in one of the different leagues in Europe. FC Barcelona started their campaign season last night with a victory away from home against Valencia. It was Hansi Flick's first official match in Laliga Santander as FC Barcelona manager, and he delivered a victory as expected by a manager who has incredible technical qualities with any squad.
Hansi Flick's first game in La Liga saw his lineup without Barcelona's regular starters which are Araujo, Gavi, Gundogan, Pedri( who later came in the second half of the match), Frenkie De Jong, and Ansu Fati. These players were absent for the first game and would have made a huge impact with their presence but Hansi Flick was still able to utilize the players he had and most of the players were from La Masia( Barcelona Academy)
The La Masia players impressed Hansi Flick in the preseason tour in the US, and I was also impressed by the high intensity these young boys played during the preseason. Pau Victor, Casado, and Alex Bernal did incredibly well in the preseason tour, which got them into the first team as it stands because they were registered for the Barcelona team sheet in Laliga. Marc Casado was incredible last night, which got the commentators saying he has the quality of Gavi and Pedri combined.
The youngster was close to getting a goal on his debut, which would have been an incredible start to his senior career with FC Barcelona. Marc Casado and Alex Bernal paired at the midfield with Raphinha player as an attacking midfielder which is not his natural position but the Brazilian has already made it clear anywhere Hansi Flick wants him to play he is ready because he knows playing for Barcelona is a competition and he was do all his best to deliver on the field.
Raphinha might not be getting goals but with the way he plays the Brazilian work rate on the pitch is incredible which is why he needs to be given credit more often. Lamine Yamal started yesterday and there is no need for much detail because the youngster gave a 10/10 performance against Valencia. Lamine Yamal is just that good and we can't deny that fact now. Lamine Yamal gave an assist yesterday, it should have been two assists if Ferran Torres had finished up the chance he got in front of the goal, but anyway, it was a great performance from Yamal and I can't wait to see what more this youngster will do this season.
Lewandoski scored the goals for Barcelona yesterday and was close to getting a hat-trick but it didn't happen last night. The Polish striker has been criticized by a lot of Barcelona fans since last season who said he was the problem at the attack, but in my opinion, Lewandoski is still a top striker and this season Hansi Flick will unlock Lewandoski at the attack we just have to wait and see it happen.
Barcelona's next match will be this weekend at home against Athletic Club which is an interesting match because of the Barcelona and Nico Williams transfer saga. Looking forward to the game and hoping the boys can take another three points. So guys that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
