FC Barcelona Vs Napoli: The End Game

Source

Good day, sports fans. The Uefa Champions League will be back in action tonight as the last leg of the round of sixteen will be played today and Wednesday night. The Champions League has always had a special feeling for football fans around the world and it has never failed to give us back-to-back entertaining matches from the group stages to the final round of the competition. It still looks too early to predict the team that will win this year's edition but if I should put two teams I feel will be capable of winning the competition this year will be Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Both teams mentioned are already in the quarter-finals of the competition and after the matches remaining to be played today and tomorrow, they will both get their opponent for the next round of the competition. Tonight incredible teams are playing and one of them which will be getting my full attention will be FC Barcelona vs Napoli. The first leg was played to a 1-1 draw at the Maradona stadium in Italy, so tonight Barcelona will have the home advantage as they face the defending Serie A Champions in a must-win match.

Honestly, I have a lot of doubts about this game for Barcelona because the performance of the team has not been consistent since the start of the season and to add more trouble the injury list is filled with first-team players who would have impacted this game tonight if they were fit to play. Barcelona will be going into this match without three of the squad's top midfielders which are Frenkie De Jong, Pedri and Gavi.

Gundogan is only the elite midfielder available tonight and has to put up a 10/10 performance in this game today as he will be carrying the whole burden of the midfield area to be able to give Lewandoski good chances in front of goal. I want to believe that no sane Barcelona fan will want Lewandoski to be on the bench today because the team needs goals and that is what he knows how to do best even though he has been struggling this season. Lewandoski is the man you want in the attacking area against Napoli.

The players have to give it their best tonight against Napoli because if Barcelona don't go through the next round it could be chaotic for the club. After all, it has been included in the club's budget. Xavi has to take the lead and control the team today, make better decisions and get his tactics sharp even though he has limited quality he has to make this game a must-win for the club.

It is going to be interesting to see how this match will play out tonight and I am looking forward to seeing the Catalan giant make it through to the quarter-finals. So guys that will be all for now and don't forget to watch the game. Thanks for stopping by and have a good evening.

It is a shame how Napoli have fallen. Remember the start of last season and they were winning all the time.

Yeah I think it will be Man City or Real Madrid, although I would fancy Real at the moment, I just feel City are going off the boil.

Let's see what Barca do tonight.

Napoli really fell off badly and they are not looking good on the league table. Manchester City seems to be losing pace but I think they can bounce back.

Barcelona is currently leading 2-1 in the first half. I am pissed because I think they should have more than two goals in this game. I just hope Barca seals the game in the second half.

Not surprised by the result, but not because of anything special Barcelona did. Napoli players and their agents have already been talking about moving to bigger clubs before the season even started. Napoli can't seem to be able to duplicate the sense of loyalty they had in the previous generation, probably because they treated that generation like shit.
