FC Barcelona Remains Unbeaten In 2025
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. On Wednesday night FC Barcelona played at home against Dortmund in the first leg of the quarter-final of the Uefa Champions League. It was the second time both teams were meeting in the competition as the last time, Barcelona won 3-2 away from home in Dortmund's home stadium. Before the match last night as a fine, I was not nervous about the outcome, but I was confident that Barcelona would secure the win as their present form speaks for itself in all competitions since the start of the year.
Barcelona won 4-0 against Dortmund, which frankly, I think is already over for Dortmund in their UCL campaign this season because there is no way Barcelona are going to let their guard down to concede four goals in the second leg against Dortmund. I have said this a lot, and it's still going to be said again. Hansi Flick has been a blessing to Barcelona this season since he took the job as FC Barcelona manager. I never thought winning a quadruple would be possible this season, but it's about to happen in a couple of months soon with the present form of the team.
This same team has a lot of doubts from pundits even to this day as some still think Barcelona's Highline will not be able to survive a tough opposition, and I say this: top clubs has Barcelona not faced this season in all competitions? Barcelona has used this same Highline to beat Real Madrid twice this season, plus they were able to beat Bayern Munich and still get past a stubborn team like Atletico Madrid twice this season, so what more does this team have to prove to show they are the best in the world currently in all competitions.
A little reminder that FC Barcelona is still unbeaten in all competitions since the start of 2025, which is crazy, and we are already in April. The mentality of the players is just incredible, and I have to say Hansi Flick has not just improved the players physically but also mentally, as they see every match as a final. The team did incredibly well against Dortmund as every player was crucial for the victory last night. Lewandoski scored a brace, which has increased his goal tally to 40 in all competitions this season.
Raphinha scored a goal and provided two assists, which increased his g/a to 50 this season, which is insane for the Brazilian as he is leading the race for the Ballon d'Or this year. Lamine Yamal was top-class as usual, as he got a goal but was also heavily involved in the build-up to all the goals scored. Fermin Lopez has to be talked about much as that lad brings huge contributions to the team when he is on the field. He is a proper baller, and some fans months ago wanted him to be on the bench. It's just funny thinking about it now.
Barcelona will face Leganes away from home this weekend in La Liga, and I hope the boys go into the match and take all three points. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by, and have a good day.
