FC Barcelona Beat Alaves 3-1 Away From Home

Source

Last night FC Barcelona went face to face with Alaves away from home. The league title race is kind of over for Barcelona but making the top two is now a top priority for Xavi and the squad. The reason is that if Barcelona fails to make the top two then their chances of playing in the Spanish Super Cup will be over and that has to be avoided because Barca needs that Super League extra money as it is known that the club is struggling financially so the money for the Super League will go along away for the club.

Barcelona has a good record against Alaves but I was a bit worried because of the number of injured first-team players out but I expected the team to show great character and go for the win. Barcelona started the first half in good form and controlled the game. Barcelona scored the first goal of the match in the 22nd minute. Gundogan played a beautiful pass to Lewandoski and the Polish international made no mistake and chipped the ball into the goal post.

It was nice seeing Lewandoski score again which is why he must get back to his best form and help the team score goals. Gundogan has been astonishing since he arrived at Barcelona and he has completely adapted to the team which is what we want to see from a top player like him I am glad Barca is getting the best out of the German. Barcelona scored the second goal of the match in the 49th minute of the second half. Lamine Yamal led the counterattack and played a pass to Pedri and Pedri spotted Gundogan's run and played a long through ball to the German who wasted no time and sent the ball into the goal post doubling Barca's lead.

Alaves responded quickly after Gundogan's goal and scored their first goal of the match to get themselves back in the game. Barcelona responded 11 minutes later with another goal this time, scored by Vitor Roque who came as a substitute and it did not take him longer than a minute to score this second goal for Barcelona. Unfortunately Vitor Roque could not play the rest of the game as he was sent off after picking two yellow cards in the match which he did not deserve and this proves more that it's Barcelona vs La Liga because the club has been on the receiving end of bad referee decisions this season.

Laporta should not keep quiet this time because this can't keep happening and tomorrow you will hear the media headline the Negreira case that Barca are the ones paying the referees. La Liga is making matters worse because it's clear there's a favoritism towards Real Madrid. La Liga President Tebas is destroying La Liga and I don't why he has not been elected out of that office. In the end, Barcelona got the important three points in the match and I hope the team can keep this winning streak going in the coming matches.

So guys that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
