FC Barcelona Are Champions Of Spain
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. It has been a celebration day for FC Barcelona players and the fans as the club parades the city of Barcelona with the domestic treble won this season. FC Barcelona sealed their La Liga title race as champions after beating Espanyol 2-0 in the Derby on Thursday night. It was the match that Real Madrid were hoping Barcelona would drop points, but it was just a waste of time for Madrid because they had the chance to close the point gap to one, but blew that opportunity with their own hands.
It has been an incredible season for Barcelona, and I can only wonder what it would have been if Barcelona had made the Champions League final and won the competition; it would have been a perfect season for the club. A quick reminder that Hansi Flick join Barcelona in the summer window and in his first season as Barcelona manager he has won the La Liga title, Copa Del Rey title, Spanish Super Cup trophy and also beat FC Barcelona arch rivals Real Madrid four times when both clubs meet this season which is a huge achievement.
Hansi Flick has gotten himself a contract renewal, even though the offer has been available for two months now. Hansi Flick will stay at Barcelona till 2027, and although I would prefer he get a five-year contract deal, the German coach has said he doesn't like a long-term deal as he prefers to go step by step and prove he deserves a contract extension. I am sure many Barcelona fans will be happy with the way the season ended because no one expected these landmarks from Hansi Flick this season, and it is just beginning because the players are ready to give it their all next season.
Hansi Flick deserves credit, but not just him alone, as his coaching staff, the medical team and every single player who put in hard work and determination to make this season a big success for the club. There were dark days in the club, which was a terrible time to be a Barcelona fan, but once your heart beats for this club, it is impossible to stay away even in the dark times. Next season is going to be another test for the boys to go harder in the Champions League, and this time they have got to chase the title with everything they've got, and I am sure the club should be signing players this summer to increase the squad depth.
Once again, congratulations to FC Barcelona on being champions of Spain and winning their 28th La Liga trophy. The players deserve all the attention and celebration they are having now, and I hope this gives them more energy to push harder next season. It has been a crazy ride, and in two weeks, the football season will officially come to an end after the UEFA Champions League final on the 31st of this month. So, guys, that will be all for now.
