FC Barcelona And Nico Williams Transfer Saga

Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. The summer transfer window has been incredible since the summer kicked off, and we have seen some shocking transfers this summer. The window is already approaching an end, and we will probably get some crazy last-minute signings soon. Barcelona has not been that active in the transfer market because the only big money spent this window was on Dani Olmo which the club was able to complete because of the Dani Olmo approval and personal agreement with Barcelona.

Since the start of the transfer window Barcelona intention on signing Nico Williams has been straight forward with talks and talks between Deco and Nico Williams camp for weeks now and what Barcelona needs now his Nico Williams approval before paying Athletic Club the release clause of Nico Williams, but this saga has gotten a new turn since the recent events that happened lately with Nico Williams.

Athletic Club posted a video of Nico Williams printing the number 10 on the Athletic Club Jersey with his name on the back. Nico Williams, in the video, thanked his teammate for giving him the number ten and how he is ready for the new season. In my opinion, with the recent video it has given me confirmation that the chance of Nico Williams playing at Barcelona this coming season is over because if Nico Williams was planning on taking Barcelona offer I don't think we will be seeing a video of him printing a new number to a jersey with his name on it.

It is just a disgrace to the club that they have been chasing this guy from the beginning of the window waiting for him to give the green light and at the end his actions just slaps the club in the face. I am not upset about him deciding to play with Athletic Club this season, I am upset he took the whole summer to make this decision. Since Nico Williams is not coming this summer I doubt Barcelona will push for him next summer because Deco( Barcelona Sporting Director) has told Nico that the Barcelona train only passes ones so it likely the club will not push for him next summer if he doesn't accept the deal before end of this summer window.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona has started exploring other options to sign a left winger, probably on loan, and one of the news on the shortlist is Kingsley Coman. Hansi Flick has expressed his appreciation for Coman and wants him at the club, but that all depends on Barcelona move in the coming days. Kingsley Coman is ready to leave Bayern Munich, but that will be only on a loan deal as Bayern is not ready to sell the Frenchman. It will be nice to see Coman in Barcelona and hope he gives his best for the club if the deal happens in the coming days.
