"Exploring Governance: From Personal to Political Engagement"
Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. It's day 9 of the Aprilininleo prompt and it has been amazing so far in the past nine days as reported by the @leo.tasks we have seen an increase in the number of participants in the prompt this month. There are amazing posts made by incredible writers, so feel free to check them out and also drop your masterpiece on the topics set for each day until the end of the month, so without further delay let's get started on today's topic.
Governance has been a part of human nature and also among animals around the world. It's a pure fact that where there is life, there is always going to be someone in a group who puts the people together and governs the way they live in a particular environment. Governance has been in existence for as old as man, and if we take a trip back in history we will see some of the great nations in their prime had a governing system, even during the era of the slave trade there was a governing system among salves.
When there is governance, then there is government, and we know there are different forms of how people govern. It could be through dictatorship or democracy. Either way, it was a form of ruling system used to govern people. Politics has also been interesting to me, and most of the time, I engage online with other users on the political structure of my country and other politics outside my country space.
Locally, I have taken part in governance activities but not in my local community. It has got to do with running my class at the university. In school, I hold the role of the assistant course rep, and although it seems it has nothing to do with the government, it has a little form of politics. I take control of getting the information necessary for the whole class and also decide collectively with the rest of the class on how to solve certain issues that come up sometimes. It is still a form of politics and I see myself as a governing entity to the rest of the class.
It is not an easy job being the class rep of over 40 students and there will always be someone within the class that I'd be ready to undermine my effort no matter how I try to please them, there is still going to be a hassle over a slight mistake. It was a bit challenging and I expected that to happen when I volunteered for the role. In my local community, I have had the chance to participate in political matters concerning the community, which I'd when elections are made for the community to choose a representative of their choice to be head overseeing the general welfare of the community.
Hopefully, in the future, I hope to be more involved in the governing of my community and even at the national level. So guys that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.

in school, I always look for means to avoid this course rep position, it isn't an easy job leading adults, they are the worst people to lead, glad you enjoyed it but it's politics so you know, you were once a politician 😁
