Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. In the past few days, there has been an upset among Barcelona fans about the departure of Dro Fernandez as the La Masia player has decided he wants his release clause to be triggered this January transfer window. Dro Fernandez's release clause under Barcelona was worth 6 million euros, and since he has not been promoted to the first team officially yet, there were no talks on giving him a new deal, which I am sure Barcelona would have increased the release clause.

Dro Fernandez was the one who requested his release clause to be triggered, which surprised everyone within the club, especially Hansi Flick. The truth is that there are many midfielders in the team so it will not be easy to get much playing time at Barcelona for Dro but Hansi Flick already has interest in the young player as he was part of Hansi Flick plan for the long run so this made Flick feel betrayed and when he was asked on the situation surrounding Dro Fernandez departure from Barcelona he answer was blunt.

Hansi Flick's words strike deep as he said that if anyone doesn't have the dedication to stay and fight for the badge then he doesn't want them in his team. In the last four years, I have witnessed some La Masia graduates who chose to leave the club early and didn't make it big in European football, while some are struggling to get playing time, and others are being pushed around to different clubs. Dro Fernandez is a promising talent whom I have seen with the few minutes he has been given to play with the first team. The youngster just needs time to develop and I am sure he will be one of the best midfielders in the future.

PSG have triggered the release clause of Dro Fernandez and I am not surprised they will be the ones to do it because they have always been after Barcelona players for a long time. The agreement has been sealed between PSG and Barcelona for a fee worth more than 6 million euros which was the initial release clause amount. It's a new journey for him at PSG, and I hope he does well at the club, but I wonder if he will get much player time in the French club. It is rare to get game time as a young player at PSG, except that the player is talented and shows impact when given the chance to play. In the long run, it will be clear if Dro made the right choice to leave Barcelona.

The question now is, will Dro Fernandez's departure affect other La Masia players from reaching the first team? In Barcelona's recent matches recently I have not seen any youngsters from La Masia feature in the games. It may be likely due to the Dro case, but it is just speculation from my end as there is no news to follow my statement. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
