Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. It is Tuesday, and the biggest match in the Copa Del Rey will kick off tonight as FC Barcelona will take on Atletico Madrid in the first league of the Copa Del Rey competition at home. This match will be the talk of tonight as both teams, who have been doing well in all competitions, will clash for a spot in the Copa Del Rey final. Atletico Madrid has been tough this season, and I won't say this match will be a walk in the park for the Catalan giant.

Atletico Madrid has already gotten the best of Barcelona early this season in December when Atletico Madrid beat the Catalan side 2-1 away from home. I can still remember that match and how the Barcelona players were devastated when Sorloth scored the winning goal of the match in the closing minutes of the match. It was a sad end to the year for Barcelona after that match as they dropped points and found themselves in third place in the Laliga table, but now the reverse is the case as Barcelona is sitting top of the table and leading Atletico Madrid with just a point.

Before the match this night, FC Barcelona's social media platforms are yet to release the squad list for the match. I guess the speculation is ongoing about Lamine Yamal's possible drop from the match as the youngster picks up an injury that got his socks soaked in blood. It was reported that it was not too serious, and Hansi Flick even gave an update yesterday that within 24 hours, he and his coaching staff will know if Lamine Yamal will start this night, which I await to see for the starting lineup list later on tonight.

Lamine Yamal should be rested tonight, in my opinion, even if he is fit to play. I would prefer he stays fresh and ready for the match against Real Sociedad in Laliga this weekend and later on against Benfica in the Champions League on Tuesday night. Barcelona has to go all out in this game tonight and possibly win by a long margin because it won't be easy to go into the Metropolitano(Atletico Madrid's home stadium) to take a victory. After all, I am sure Diego Semione's plan tonight will be for his side to secure a draw and finish the job at home.

FC Barcelona is yet to lose a match this year, and I just hope that record stays like that tonight. It's going to be an interesting match, and I am ready for all the thrillers, instance moments, and incredible individual brilliance from the players. The most important thing I want is to see the boys go into the match with eagerness to win the first leg and proceed to head into the weekend and new week with a positive mindset to win the matches lined up in the coming days. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
