Barcelona’s Worst Transfer Window?

This summer window for FC Barcelona has to be the worst so far in the club's history. The jas manager so far has signed three players, and one of them is on a loan deal. Barcelona has not even spent up to 50 million euros this summer, and it makes me wonder how this club is operating under Deco as the club's sporting director. Today I was checking for updates about the transfer market. I stumbled on a post about Atletico Madrid signing another player. Atletico Madrid has been active in the window and is, without a doubt, having one of the best summers with the deals they have been able to close.

Real Madrid are having a good summer on the market as well, and it is kind of disturbing that Barcelona are not making a big signing, but rather still recycling the same squad from last season and don't get me wrong, I believe that same squad is capable of repeating the same performance this season. The main issue is that the club should be reinforcing the squad because they shouldn't expect Real Madrid or other rival clubs to be the same next season. Let's take a look at Liverpool's transfer window, and honestly, I didn't expect the Englishman to go this hard in the window.

Liverpool have gotten Florian Wirtz, Jeremine Frimpong, Kerkez, Hugo Ekitike and now might get Alexander Isak this summer. They have spent over 300 million euros without breaking the finance fair play and PSR rules in acquiring all these players, which is impressive for the management, and there won't be an issue in the registration of these players, but I can't say the same for Barcelona. The club is always having issues each summer, and when the season begins, there will be news flying around that the club is not able to register players close to the due date.

The 1:1 rule, which has been sold to the fans since last year, still sounds like a myth. La Liga still is not making it easy for Barcelona to operate with the refusal of registration. It is frustrating as a fan watching the club pass through these tough times, and I wonder if it will all be over. FC Barcelona might be done in the transfer market after landing the loan deal of Rashford, but there are rumours about the club going in for a full-back. It's still unclear who the targets for the full back position are, but maybe more stories will pop up in the coming days.

One thing I look forward to is the club successfully registering the new player without any drama this time, because it will be a shame if the club struggles and I honestly don't want to have to compete with fans using it as banter material this new season. Deco and Laporta still have a lot of work to do, and I count on them putting everything in place before the season starts next month. So guys that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend ahead.
