Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Last night, FC Barcelona played away from home against Valencia in the Copa Del Rey competition quarter-final. It was 11 days since both sides met as Valencia would not forget the 7-1 thrashing at Barcelona's home stadium. If it was one of the incredible matches FC Barcelona has played this season, and the funny part about it is that FC Barcelona fans have turned it into a joke. When other fanbase asked what Valencia did to deserve this trash, some Barcelona said it was because they wore white, which is Real Madrid's main colour, so Barcelona players thought they were playing against Real Madrid.

It's quite funny when translated in pidgin( Nigerian English) and I kind of feel sorry for Valencia because they have conceded 13 goals in the space of eleven days at the hands of Hansi Flick and his boys. FC Barcelona beat Valencia 5-0 last night to reach the semifinals of the Copa Del Rey competition, and the scenes from the match were just like the match in Laliga last week as Barcelona were already four goals up in 40 minutes of the match. It was an insane domination from Barcelona, and this goal margin was achieved without Lewandoski playing in the match.

Ferran Torres scored a hat-trick last night against his boyhood club, and his attitude was perfect towards the Valencia fans as he not only celebrated his goal but also made a tribute with his shirt, which he wrote, “Valencia I will never forget”. Ferran Torres has been incredible so far in recent matches under Hansi Flick, and I am kind of glad he stood by his word about wanting to succeed at the club and that he doesn't want to leave the club anytime soon. If Ferran Torres keeps this quality up, then there is a possibility that Hansi Flick would prefer him to be a starter than Lewandoski if the Polish striker stops missing his chances in front of goal.

Raphinha was also incredible last night as he provided two assists in the match. There is no doubt that Raphinha is going to be a contender for the Ballon d'Or and probably could win the award. Raphinha is one goal or assist away from hitting 40g/a this season, and it's still February. Raphinha could hit 50 plus g/a before the season ends, which will be twice as much as Vinicius Junior last season, who Real Madrid fans believe to be the right winner of the Ballon d'Or last year. Raphinha is at the peak of his career, and it could even go higher if he keeps this consistency.

Pedri was world-class last night, but that will be a talk in another post. Barcelona's possible opponents in the semifinals are Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Real Sociedad. The draw will be scheduled soon, and I don't see why Barcelona currently can't beat any of the clubs mentioned above in the semifinals of the competition. So, guys, this is where I will stop for now. Thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
