Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. Wow, what an incredible night it has been in the Uefa Champions League, and as expected, it promises incredible and intense football when it is in motion. Today there were a lot of interesting matches which gave the best entertainment, and I was surprised with the result at the end of the match because I and most football fans never expected the turn of events that took place last night, but at the same time this is football, anytime can happen even in the space of one minute.

Records were started last night, and one of them was Aston Villa ending Bayern Munich's 41 group stage and a round of sixteen winning streaks in the Champions League. First of all, it was kind of strange seeing this fixture, because if you had told me two or three seasons ago that Aston Villa would face Bayern Munich in the Champions League and beat them, I would have said you are probably crazy, but it happened last night which was unbelievable.

Bayern Munich has had an incredible start to the new campaign season, both in the domestic league and in the UCL. They won nine goals to nothing in their first UCL game, which was crazy, and I genuinely thought they would paste at least five goals past Aston Villa, but it didn't happen, to my surprise. Emiliano Martinez is HIM and I am not capping it because it is pure fact. The Argentine stood on business against Bayern Munich last night, and he keeps on showing that he is a world-class goalkeeper without a doubt.

Aston Villa manager Unai Emery deserves credit as well for this win against Bayern Munich. The work Unai Emery is doing at Aston Villa is incredible and I still can't fathom how Arsenal sent him packing from their club. Aston Villa has indeed struck a goal with Unai Emery, and if he is given more time and good funding at the club, then he should be able to win trophies for Aston Villa soon. I will be keeping an eye on Villa for the rest of the season to see how far they can go in all competitions they are participating in this season.

In the same UCL Tuesday night, the defending champions Real Madrid got their 36-game unbeaten run come to an end at the hands of Lille, which was again not expected. This same team was seen as the most unstoppable team in Europe all because they got Mbappe in the transfer window last summer. Real Madrid's squad is not just blinding as well as it did last season because they got the same squad and just two signings in the summer, but this season, something seems off about their setup and the front attack.

Real Madrid still needs a proper striker, like it or not, as it shows in how they play. They could go for a top striker in January or the next summer window if Ancelotti is open to the idea because he has been saying after Mbappe's signing that the squad is okay and he does not need any more signings, but it could change soon. Let's see how it goes for the defending champions of Europe. So, guy, that will be all for now. What a night it was, so see you soon; thanks for stopping by, and have a good day.
