Good day, everyone, and welcome to my blog. I just woke up this morning to see the result of the match between Arsenal and Real Madrid in the UCL competition. It was not what I was expecting the result to turn out because, looking at injuries in both teams and how both teams have played so far, I was expecting Real Madrid to walk out of the Emirates Stadium with an advantage heading into the second leg, which will be played at the Bernabeu Stadium next week Wednesday.

Arsenal both doubted the team with a disadvantage against Real Madrid, looking at their injuries list that has most of their key players out for some weeks. Saka has returned from injury and was the main turning point for Arsenal's attack against Real Madrid last night. Let me not forget the amazing two beautiful free-kicks scored by Declan Rice last night against Madrid. It was absolutely incredible, and him doing it twice was just mind-blowing to watch from the highlights. Declan Rice made history last night, becoming the first player to score two free-kick goals in the knockout stage of the UCL, which is an incredible achievement.

The second leg like I said earlier will be played at the Bernabeu next week on Wednesday, but there is one thing to point out is that this is Real Madrid we talking about and the holder-only club that has the highest number of UCL trophies throughout the history of the competition although some of the trophies they won are questionable as they have been favoured many times by the referee. Real Madrid is known for coming back to the Champions League, as we have seen with Manchester City and even against Dortmund this season in the group stage of the competition.

There are still 90 minutes to be played at the Bernabeu, which Arsenal shouldn't take lightly because, until the final whistle at the Bernabeu, Arsenal has to stay sharp and make sure to finish the match with their advantage and also capitalize on increasing the scoreline on aggregate. Real Madrid is definitely going all out in the second leg next week and It will be interesting to see how the match will turn out next week. This is the second loss for Real Madrid in two matches in the past three days which is obvious to say that the team is not yet balanced.

It's funny now, looking back, how many thought this team was a super team and would win all the titles this season when Mbappe joined last summer. The reality is the team is not super, and come again next season, they probably would still have the same issues, and it won't be long before Papa Pérez decides to send Ancelotti packing if they continue this form next season. So, guys, that will be all for now. Thanks for stopping by. There is still more Champions League football to be played today, so don't miss out and have a good day.
