Arcade Colony Stakehouse Den - Trying the Games

Greeting to all Hive gamers! StakeHouse Den is Arcade Colony's next game to go live. I've been posting about this casino type game for some time and last week I bought packs and staked my NFT in the game to earn Hotsauce. Hotsauce is the soul bound token which will be used to bet on the games in StakeHouse.

First we need COLONY tokens to stake in the game. Staked COLONY tokens are used to calculate the reward share when players win in Arcade Colony games, including StakeHouse Den and Moon Karts. I bought COLONY and staked them in the game.

Next, I checked how much Hotsauce were generated by my NFT. I only have twenty Hotsauce, good enough to try two games. I would have to stake more NFTs and SCRIPTs to generate more Hotsauce.

The games I wanted to try were roulette and black jack. I wanted a game where I can strategize and calculate my odds of winning. Slots don't do that, it's pure luck in my opinion.

Roulette

I played Roulette first. It's simple enough game where the odds to win were 50%. To be honest, not much strategy involved. Just place your bets and spin the wheel. If I have more Hotsauce then I can make the bets more interesting by placing multiple bets.

Beginners luck! I won the first game and earned a small amount of COLONY.

My COLONY staking factor is just a measly 1.12. Betting more Hotsauce and staking more COLONY will increase my rewards if I win.

Black Jack

Black Jack is a more strategical game which would involve thinking and calculation of odds. But the cards are shuffled after each game so it will be much harder to determine the odds.

I got very low cards at the initial draw. I have several choices whether to hit, stay, double or split. My opponent has a Jack so I have to be over fifteen at least to have a chance of winning.

I chose to "hit" naturally. I got a ten and the total is now fifteen. Should I risk it by hitting again and go bust or should I stay? My opponent did not hit so it could be that he has seventeen, eighteen or higher.

I hit again. Nineteen! I have to stay since hitting again has a high probability of going bust.

I chose to "stay" and....

I won! My opponent had seventeen all along. My decisions were right. It's a single game but each decision is exciting. I'll play this again next time.

In the next update, the dev team are planning to include more games like Video Poker which includes a multi-player option. This game will be a hit if the mobile port will also be successful.
