Celebrating in Christmas / Celebrando en Navidad (eng-esp)

Hello, friends.

Today will be the first Christmas Day I celebrate at home with my children and husband after many years.

We usually went out to eat. Both my husband and my mother-in-law preferred going to a restaurant and strolling around town. And since I didn't have to cook, I was more comfortable with that.

However, this year I decided we would celebrate at home. Since the beginning of December, I realized, thanks to other people's posts on Hive, that we didn't have any Christmas decorations, nothing to show that we celebrated Christmas and all that it entails. So I decided to change that.

Of course, the first thing we did was go out and buy a tree. Since we went out late, all the big trees were sold out, and we had to settle for this little one. Small, but absolutely adorable.

We all spent a whole afternoon putting it together and decorating it. Since everyone had different tastes, here's our decorated tree: in everyone's style.

And of course, the children couldn't be without their Christmas gifts. We gave Santa plenty of sweets and some clothes.

Although, of course, being children, they all claimed all of our gifts, besides their own, naturally.

I think from now on, every year they'll prefer to spend Christmas at home.

Hola, amigos.

Hoy será el primer día de navidad que celebro en casa con mis hijos y mi esposo, después de muchos años.

Por lo general, siempre salíamos a comer afuera. Tanto mi esposo como a mi suegra, les gustaba más ir a algún restaurante y pasear por la ciudad. Y a mí, como no tenía que cocinar, me venía a lo mejor

Sin embargo este año decidí que lo celebraríamos en casa. Desde que comenzó el mes de diciembre y me di cuenta, gracias a las publicaciones de las demás personas en Hive, de que no teníamos ningún adorno navideño, nada que señalara que nosotros celebrábamos la navidad y todo lo que ello conlleva. Entonces me propuse cambiar eso.

Por supuesto, lo primero que hicimos fue salir a comprar en algún arbolito. Como salimos tarde todos los arbolitos grandes estaban agotados y tuvimos que conformarnos con este pequeño.
Pequeño, pero de lo más lindo.

Entre todos nos pasamos una tarde entera armándolo y adornándolo. Como cada quien tenía un gusto diferente, aquí está nuestro arbolito adornado: a la manera de todos.

Y para los niños por supuesto no podía faltar su regalo de Navidad. Te regalamos a Santa bastantes dulces y algo de ropa.

Aunque, por supuesto niños al fin se adueñaron de cualquiera de los regalos nuestros, aparte de los suyos, claro.

Creo que a partir de ahora, todos los años preferirán pasar la Navidad en casa.
