Sword Art Online : There's more to the romance than the adventure.

Hello everyone, It's the month of Valentine, the month of love, and in this contest, we're prompted to make a post about romance anime. But that has been my biggest weakness, as I've not been able to touch any romance anime since I started watching anime. As you all know, I've been watching more Isekai and dramas than romance. So I went online to search for romantic genres. Luckily, I found out that Sword Art Online (SAO) also deals with romance, although it's a mixture of adventure, action, romance, and part-isekai. and since I've watched it before. I was very happy. I hope the community will accept it as one. As for the other one, I'll be starting it this night.

As we all know, this anime is about adventure and action, but there is also more romance in the anime. So I won't dwell much on the adventure part; I'll just delve into the romance part. I hope you enjoy it. Let's start.

Sword Art Online

The movie Sword Art Online is about a group of players entering a virtual world to be able to fight, win battles, and conquer the virtual world. But things took a bad turn when they were trapped in the virtual world for a very long time. The only way they'll be able to come out is when they win the battles until they conquer the final boss. And if they die in the virtual world, they'll also die in the normal world. They encountered a lot of issues and adventures on the way, which led to the meeting of the two protagonists. "Kirigaya Kauto," also called "Kirito," and "Asuna.".

It took almost two years for the romance between Kirito and Asuna to develop. As we know, Kirito and Asuna met in the game. Kirito was a beta tester, and Asuna is kind of a first-timer. When they first met, he guided her towards surviving in the game, even without knowing her. He told her some important information about the game that Asuna held and used to be able to be one of the best fighters. Along the line, they're separated due to some unnecessary fights between the members, and Kirito was fighting alone while Asuna was climbing through the ranks.

When they later met, at first, she was very distant with him and didn't want to do anything with him, but Kirito didn't care; he was just carefree and was handling things in a carefree fashion. But later, she became close to him. It was the difference in tgeir characters that made them come together, and Asuna was getting fond of him, getting closer to him in every way. Along the line, we later learned the true intentions of Asuna and why she always keeps a serious face in the virtual world, saying that the more they use in the virtual world, the more their body is dying in the outside world. But Kirito was able to convince her that she should cherish every day that they're using in the virtual world. And that seems to soothe her. So that's how they keep getting closer.

As they're solving conquests and killing monsters together, they're getting closer and closer to each other day by day. There were some romantic scenes that I loved in it.

One day, Kirito and Asuna admitted their feelings for themselves and decided to get married in the game. They bought an apartment with the game money and lived in the apartment to free themselves from all the worries of the world and free their minds from everything. They had every moment for themselves. Another day, they saw a fairy, took care of her, and decided to make her their daughter (it was indeed her who decided to call them papa and mama 😅), and they lived as a happy family for a while.

They encountered certain problems until they were able to clear the game somehow. Coming back to the normal world, different scenarios happened, which made them fight for their lives and stay together no matter the situation. It's indeed interesting. In fact, the love even grows deeper in season two, which depicts the romantic story between the two characters.

Overall, SAO is a very good anime with a good ending. Although the adventure and the actions made the movie interesting, the romantic story between the protagonists made the anime even more interesting, and I love it that way.

I hope you enjoyed my post. Feel free to list some romantic anime you have watched, because I need to watch some and I need to be strong in that genre as well.

This brings me to the end of my post. See you soon.

Oh, nice , I'll read it then.

But wait, are they still continuing the series in the novel or they've finished it ?

It is still on air, although I think it has already entered the final arc, although there are still volumes of the Progressive novel to come out.

I loved the season 1 and the chemistry between Asuna and kirito was the best but I didn’t like it when in other seasons he is with other girls and I just wanted to see him with Asuna only :) but it didn’t go well as per my choice. So, I stopped watching it otherwise I love this anime because it’s based on a game and I love anything related to games.

Yes me too, I love the chemistry between them in season 1, I wished there were more of it in Alicization and GGO. But later I developed passion for other things (most especially in GGO) when it looked like COD. I loved it and enjoyed it. I finished it though.

Although, it was not much but it was there in the subsequent seasons. But I really enjoyed the season 1.

Thanks for the reply, I hope you can watch Alicization, it's also interesting how they did it.

The first time I saw SAO, I liked it, but it wasn't like that with the following seasons.. Honestly it made me want to get into a game like that, but at the same time it made me very scared hahahaha

Yh, I also gave it a thought, the technology era is still advancing and heading to that direction. Normally it'll be fun but it may pose some great risk before it can be perfected. I wish I witness that.

I understand that it may be scary, I'm also scared by the fact 😅.

How's your contest. How far have you gone in your contest ?

SAO is my favorite anime and the relationship between Asuna and Kirito I like a lot, the truth SAO can be considered a little Harem to be almost all female characters who are attached to Kirito but he only focuses on Asuna, the arc of the happy marriage in Aincrad I liked enough and in the second season there are good moments but the truth in the last season when we see the true power of Asuna and how she fights to the end to protect Kirito is the best, I hope the following seasons :D.

if you liked the way they met you should see the Progressive movies, they are based on the novel of the same name that tells the second floors of the castle one by one and does not give the abysmal jump of the anime where they go from the second floor to the 50th floor.
