One Thing That Needs to be Left behind This Year
Good evening Hivers. This is actually the first time I'm doing joining this contest since I became an official member of hive learner. I'm very thrilled to join this.
Personally, I've encountered different challenges and I've faced different problems. But if I were to choose the one to leave behind this year. It has to be Procrastination. Remember in my last two posts, I shared about how my new year was very hectic due to procrastination. It's my main life challenge. I can't count the number of times I've procrastinated.
Thinking back on last year, I realized that I had procrastinated a lot, and it has really affected me in reaching my goals. Procrastination is just like a blindfold blocking someone's eyes while imagining what is happening. It really affected me. Around December 1, last year, I wanted to start a Natural Language Processing (NLP) task. I saw a link on YouTube for the tutorial so solve the task, it was a playlist. So I told myself that I should be able to finish around December 15 if I started the video and do watch it one per day. It was until December 12 I was able to start the playlist, thereby extending the time to December 22. If I had started it early, I would have gained a lot and finished it on time.
There was another time when I was writing my logbook for my Industrial training (IT) program, I had the feeling that there was still time, that if I waited a little bit longer, I can still finish it on time, I had a strange feeling that it was simple, and it could be done in two to three days. It was until when I started writing the logbook was when I realized that it was not easy, and with all the time wasted I had a limited time to complete it. Although, I was able to complete it, but, it really affected my health along the way.

As I said before, many problems I faced and indeed I'm facing was due to procrastination. First, if procrastination is to be gotten rid of in my life, I'll have time to do engage in a lot of activities and personally, my productivity rate will increase drastically.

Now, solving the case of procrastination is very challenging for me, but I have some plans for it this year.
Around last year, I was taught something about how time management is good in our daily lives, and I also learned some concept of time-management from @starstring01 when I was working together with him during IT. Too bad, I didn't put those learning to good use. Well, I plan on using them this year. I hope it will help me.
Secondly, I noticed that, if I put my mind on something, I'll be able to do it efficiently and effectively without wasting time, so, if I wanted to do something, I'll have to commit my full attention to it.
Thirdly, I plan on setting some alarms on some tasks, so instead of using a song, it should be a pre-recorded voice messages (recordings of my own voice) telling me my fears about the task I'm supposed to do. Like say for example, when reading for exam, I'll set an alarm like "If you don't read now, you'll fail", something like that since it's not an alarm to wake someone from sleep, it is just a gentle reminder to heighten my awareness about the task at hand (To go and read). So I believe that it will help me in avoiding procrastination.
Lastly, if you have any other solution that have worked for you, you can also tell me in the comment section. I believe it can also help me.
And that comes to the end of my post.
To be be procrastinating is not really good ,it makes you not that take the risk you ought to take, mean to sleep and wake up is also a risk,I am glad you discovered this and you have made up your mind to leave it behind you this year.
Yes, thank you very much, I'm trying my possible best and this year, I've been mostly on pressure so no time for procrastination. I've found the ultimate solution, I'll put myself on pressure.
Hello. I hope you do the things you want as they would aid you this year
