Although I started watching anime in 2020, I've been used to a lot of anime from isekai, adventures, sci-fi, dramas, etc., but none came close to this anime for me. I also know that I can't be compared to some people who have a long list of anime that they've watched, but I've also had a good share of my own list, though not too long, but it's very good.

In a second, I'll tell you the reason why I chose this as my favorite anime, but before starting, I want to give a brief review of this anime. It's probably the shortest review I've ever given 😅.

This anime is the story of a 19-year-old boy named Monkey D. Luffy and his team-mates (Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usoop, Sanji, Tony Chopper, and Jimbei) who set out on an adventure across the sea to capture the legendary One Piece. They venture across the Red Line into the New World to find the legendary treasure. As they travel, they face different unbelievable foes, and along the way, they grow in strength.

Now, why do I consider this anime to be my favorite?

There are lots of reasons why I consider this anime to be my favorite.

The first thing I loved about this anime when I first saw it was that it was long; it has a lot of episodes. When I started it, it was at episode 1000. So you can see how long it was then.

As we can see, for people who have watched it, this anime is about unending adventures as Luffy and his crewmates travel through different parts of the world as they face different foes. From Alabasta, Fish-Man Island, Dressrosa, Zou, Wano Kingdom, and many more. Each arc gives a different adventure, which makes me love it so much. The adventure also portrays the fight between pirates and the Navy, as well as fights between different pirates as they go on in their battles.

Another thing I noticed about this anime is that the storyline is detailed and well explained. The plot may first explain the general concept of a story at the beginning. But as the plot goes on, it will give a detailed explanation of what actually happened, giving us a sense of understanding about the story. The story of the background of all the characters is well and duly explained, and it is what gives me the best feeling among all the anime I've watched.

Moreover, the anime characters have unique fighting styles, which is something I loved. As we know, there are different characters in One Piece, and for each character to have their own fighting style is amazing.

As we know at the beginning, the fighting styles of the characters are normal, but as the movie goes on, they introduce the concept of devil fruits, which brings a whole new level to fighting, and each devil fruit has its own features, which make their fighting styles different. As we continued, it later introduced the concept of Haki and Ryou technique, which makes the fighting amazing to watch.

Lastly, another concept I loved about this anime was its creativity in general, starting with the names of characters, laughs, and species of people. It gives a vibe that every story, every character, every language, every power and thus, everything about this anime doesn't belong to a particular niche; it touches every part of the world.
