Holiday Hangout with my folks : The One I Almost Missed

Hangouts has always been a very good practice of bringing friends and former colleagues together to talk, gist and renew existing connections.

In my case, it is a case of my secondary school, remember I talked about going to Methodist High School during my Introductory post. Yes, that's it, my secondary schoolmates and I come together every year to chat and have fun while talking about what each of us have faced throughout the whole year. It is a form of relaxation we've had and to improve the connection we've had with each other since we've graduated from High school.

So yesterday, I almost missed this year hangout. On the night before, I was working on a project given to me by my supervisor. I had to work overnight to get the work done. So the stress I faced on the night before made me sleep throughout the day. By the time I wake up, it was about 3:00. I checked the time. I decided to check my WhatsApp for new messages as usual. It wasn't until I checked the group messages was when I realized the hangout was yesterday. So I called my friend, he explained everything to me. That was when I realized that I had messed up the time. I have not been checking the messages sent to the group.

Fortunately for me, the hangout was schedule to start 4:00 pm yesterday. So I quickly took my bath, searched for a cloth to wear, and I set out for the venue. We chose the school's hall for the venue of this year hangout. Luckily, it's not far from home. The journey took about 30 mins.

After reaching school, few of them have arrived. We chatted while waiting for others. During the time, We walked the whole school to see the changes in school since we've graduated. We don't normally use the school's hall for hangouts, but this year was different. So we had the opportunity to view the whole school.

After walking through the school. We noticed a lot has changed. Trees were not there before, but now, the whole school was full of trees and some other things which I don't want to bore you with. Remember, we're here for hangout.

We looked for the hall to use, during the hangout, we played a lot of games such as like and dislike, two truth and one lie, trivial questions, truth and dear and so on. We did it in a very simple fashion and it was fun. As it is getting dark, we carried our chairs outside to continue the conversation. I couldn't take many pictures inside because the few pictures taken before wasn't quite good, and it was getting dark. I was able to take some pictures outside.

We chatted till it got dark. At around 7:00pm, we left the venue and headed for our respective homes.

Yesterday's hangout was fun. Got to meet my old friends as we chatted till nightfall.
