It is located in Citatah village, Cipatat District, West Bandung Regency. Of you are traveling from Cianjur to Bandung, you Will be familiar with Manik Hill or the dagger monument embedded at the top of the hill.

The Citatah area is mostly dominated by limestone that is millions of years old. To get to the limestone hill, there are two paths, from the front, where you can see the limestone wall, the route is circular.

And from the back, if you climb from the back, the incline is quite steep. I tried the back route, the incline was quite steep and the path was about 50 centimeters wide. The slope I traversed consisted of limestone traps.

There were ropes placed at extreme incline of about 45 degrees. Along the path I passed, there were many wild plants growing on the limestone, such as grass, reeds. On the limestone, I Saw green leaves, the local people call them gadung leaves, a type of tuber, these leaves can be used for traditional medicine.

When I reached the top of the hill, I was tired my fatigue was paid off by seeing the view of the expanse of other hills around it. I have long wanted to walk to this limestone hill, and only now can it come true.

At the top of manik hill there is a monument built by Special Forces Education and Training Center,Indonesian Army, in 2004. The dagger monument is about 3 meters high, as a marker that the Manik Hill area has been one of the rock climbing training site since 1965 by the Army Commando Regiment (RPKAD) at that time.

About twenty minutes at the top of Manik Hill, then I went down still using the back route.
Thank you for stopping by. Hope it's useful.
