Wednesday walk : Situ Halimun

Hello, how are you community friends,wherever you are greetings of good health. Thank you Wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay. Situ Halimun or in English it is Lake, Halimun is the name of the place.

Location of Situ Halimun
Situ Halimun is location in Warungkiara village, Sukabumi regency, West Java. It is approximately 32 kilometers from Sukabumi city and 30 kilometers from Capital city of Palabuhanratu. I tried to enter the situ Halimun area.

Situ Halimun is surrounded by active rubber plantations. Function of Situ Halimun, one of situ Halimun function is to irrigate agricultural land. Using technical irrigation channels, another function of the situ Halimun area is as a natural tourist attraction and is also used by the local community as a fishing spot.

Situ Halimun is approximately two meters deep and serves as a rain water reservoir , around situ Halimun there are shade trees and rubber trees that still preserved, as well as a green lawn planted with grass. The roads in the plantation connect one village to another.

Situ Halimun floodgate. The floodgate is located at the edge of the lake, it was built to control the inflow and outflow of water from the lake. Visitor who come to situ Halimun can enjoy the beautiful natural scenery.

Trash on the lake
The water flowing out of the lake through the sluice gate appears clean and free of trash. The community has created a bamboo barrier to prevent trash entering the lake, the trash gets caught in the bamboo, preventing the water from carrying any trash.
