Visiting the Papua Museum

Greetings everyone.
How are you dear friends?. Thank you Museum Community. Some time ago, I visited the Papua provincial pavilion at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah Jakarta.

In front of the Papua pavilion, visitor were greeted by the entrance gate. Two statues of Papuans complete with their traditional clothing. The traditional Papuan house in Taman Mini Indonesia Indah Jakarta is a replica.

One of the traditional Papuan houses is pyramid-shaped. The architecture is the form of and octagonal, and stands about 25 meters tall and house many cultural tribes. I tried to enter, next to the entrance there were several museum guards, complete with tables and guest books.

I asked the guard for permission to see the museum contents and he allowed me. The traditional Papuan house building, which has been consists of two floors. The object on display support the lives of the Papuan people.

Content of the Papuan Museum

Such as traditional hunting weapons weapons,namely poison arrows, traditional weapons used to attack enemies. Traditional Papuan clothing with various accessories taken from local wisdom.

The Papuan people are famous for their high carving art, exhibited musical instruments. The art of carving Asmat statues. Handicrafts making bags Made from local plants, traditional boats,kitchen utensilst, farming tools.

Papua provincial museum at the Taman mini Indonesia indah pavilion in jakarta, we can learn about and understand the traditional as an educational tool.
