Potorono village
Greetings everyone.
How are you dear friends? Thank you Wednesdaywalk community inspiration by @tattoodjay. Potorono village is located in the Bantul area about 9 kilometers from the city of Yogyakarta.

The people of Potorono village utilize village owned land that was previously swampy and abandoned, by the village community, transformed and utilized to become ecological, economic, and social value. The community built natural and artificial tourist attractions.
Which were originally swamps, transformed into water reservoirs, the water reservoir is about 200 meters long and about 20 meters. And was formerly a former sand excavation and inside the reservoir there are several springs.

After becoming a tourist attractions the elderly, were able to open businesses that could increase their income. My children and grand children went to Potorono village about 6 kilometers from our residence, by car.

After parking the car, we walked around to see the natural and man-made attractions. There is a footpath Along the edge of the reservoir and pedal board can be rented for a single round.





There are many cultivated fish in the reservoir, if you want to see the fish appear on the fish food provided. Then sprinkle the food on top, and the fish Will appear on the surface.


The management provides several facilities to make it comfortable and quite happy for children. Many pigeons Are deliberately made house as an education for children such as feeding pigeons.


There are children's toys such as swings, gazebo building for testing gazebo buildings for resting and sitting. The manager places plastic trash bins in place that is easy to see.




I come to the afternoon to avoid the hot sun. Visitor enter the Potorono tourist village area free of charge for parking motorbikes, Cars pay as much as they can afford.
The money is put into the a kropak container provided by the management. The process are used for facility maintenance, paying workers and village treasury.
