Musical instruments Made of bamboo

In west Java, there is a musical instrument as a culture that has long been used by the Sundanese people and is preserved. A typical musical instrument from west Java, steeped in culture, is the melody of bamboo clumps, such as the angklung.

Which is Made from bamboo tubes to produce different tones. The angklung is played by shaking it so that the bamboo pieces collide with each other. Angklung is played by hanging it on a pole, it is a melodic angklung and each angklung has a different melodic sound.

Another traditional musical instrument from west Java is the Calung. Made from bamboo it's played by striking it with a piece of Wood with a round rubber band at the end. The difference between low and high notes depends on the type of bamboo.

Black bamboo, for example producer low notes,while petung and wuluh bamboo produce high notes.
