Yogyakarta is know as a city of struggle, a city of education, a city of culture, and a city of tourism . One of these title is Yogyakarta as a city of struggle.

Which has become ingrained in the people of Yogyakarta nation general. The Yogyakarta monument was rebuilt to commemorate the historic event of the return of the capital city of Yogyakarta to the Republic of indonesia on Juni 29,1949.

The monument is located on the Northern ring road of Yogyakarta city. Before entering the museum, I bought a ticket at the entrance for 15.000,- IDR or ($0,89). The ticket officer have me directions to the museum building.

Love the conical architecture, and the museum looks like it was very well laid out. I have a love/hate relationship with war museums, I think they're essential for preserving/learning history (assuming they're put together properly), but I find them very painful to be inside.

@ryivhnn. Yes I also like the architecture form with it's philosophical meaning. Yes one of the functions of a museum is as historical learning for future generations. From history, we can determine the future. In the history of war, there are those who benefit and those who lose. And concerns the honor of the nation. That's my opinion. Thank you friend, for sharing your experience and good comment. Have a great day. Greetings from indonesia.
