Morning walk in Malioboro Yogyakarta

Greetings everyone.
How are you friends? Hope you have good news. Thank you Wednesdaywalk by @tattoodjay. One of my vacations in Yogyakarta was a morning walk while exercising. The hotel I stayed at was not far from Malioboro street in Yogyakarta.

Malioboro street in Yogyakarta is located in the center of Yogyakarta. I took the time in the morning around 5:00 AM to 5:30 AM. The street was still quite. I walked from the Yogyakarta monument to the zero point of Yogyakarta for about 30 minutes at a slow Pace.

The distance of Malioboro street from Yogyakarta monument to the zero point is approximately 900 meters. According to history, the Yogyakarta monument was built around 1755 by Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono I. Malioboro street is the main road from the palace complex to the Yogyakarta monument.

Decorative lights and medium sized shade trees are planted along the sides and middle of the road. From the Yogyakarta monument to the railroad crossing. There are two lanes with the left and right sides being used for pedestrians and a fairly wide walkway.

Yogyakarta is a popular tourist destination in Java and Yogyakarta is a special region ruled by a sultan. It's no surprise that Malioboro street is lined with numeroud hotel to support tourism.

The Yogyakarta monument is located in the center of the circle, in one corner of the Yogyakarta monument. The number 2026 is written, signifiying the imminent arrival of the new year. Yogyakarta tugu station the facade of the building faces Malioboro street. The railway monument is also displayed as a sign of location of the railway station.

Railway crossing gates are opened and closed at all Times when a train enters or exits the station. These gates regulate trains and allow people and bicycles to pass through. The train schedule is quite busy, the gate are operated by railway staff located inside the building post.

After crossing the railroad crossing, the road becomes one lane with pedestrians on both sides for walking. And seating along the road, the pedestrians area is wider. The Malioboro sign is visible as a sign that that visitors are entering the Malioboro area.

One-way traffic is enforced for vehicles passing through this road. In the morning the trans Yogya bus starts working to take visitors to tourism attractions. And likewise pedicabs are ready to serve passengers in the morning.

Many old buildings are used for commercial purposes, with the upper floors being used for houses and the first floor being used for trading with various types of merchandise. Such as selling typical Yogyakarta food as souvenirs, batik clothes, t-shirts,bags,and decorative knick-knacks at affor dable prices.

Hotel facilities built on the roadside Will make it easier to access the needs of tourist and visitors. There is also a traditional market called Bering harjo market. This market is one of the old buildings in the Malioboro area.

Other historical buildings are museums and palace building. Not far from the zero point, old historic buildings still stand strong and until here I walked in the Malioboro area.

Jakarta has the old town museum. Bandung has Braga street, and Yogyakarta has Malioboro street. That's the term used by the community.
