Fish farming training education
Greetings everyone
Thank you Indonesia hive community. Share experience, in my opinion, the problem of education is trsnsferring knowledge from an educator to the person being educated so that the knowledge given is useful.

Education is divided into two, first formal education and non-pollutant formal education . A few weeks ago, my friends and I from the retirement community in Sukabumi city, West Java, participated in non-formal training on freshwater fish farming.

Which took place at the large freshwater fish farming center in Sukabumi city, West Java. The teaching staff are from Balai Besar Perikanan Budidaya Air Tawar, and the student are Retired communities.

The goal is for them to become fish entrepreneurs in the region. The learning system is that the instructor delivered the material, followed by a question and answer session. The fish cultivation training lasts one day field practice.

During the theory session, two instructors provide knowledge, first on tilapia cultivation and the second on catfish cultivation. The knowledge taught is about organic fish cultivation, from fish breeding and rearing to marketing.
Although those participating in the training are no longer young, they are still enthusiastic about participating in the fish farming training. The instructors delivery methods are tailored to their age,not too quickly.

Teaching materials on fish cultivation, such as walked Ponds, earthen pond bottoms, and circular bioflok Ponds are tarpaulin, bioflok Ponds are developed in urban areas of land. Theoretically training education end at 12 pm, then students take a lunch break.

Practical learning in the field.
The Balai Besar Perikanan Budidaya air Tawar cover a fairly large area of approximately 25 hectares. One of it's functions is to serve as a training center for proper fish cultivation techniques.

Training sessions for tilapia and catfish fish were followed by an overview of fish farming. Including various types of containers, such as earthen Ponds, walked pond and bioflok. The side effect of fish farming is that the water can be used to grow vegetables one of which is water spinach.

Currently the pensioner community is registering pensioners to form a group Pokdakan, it is hoped that the Pokdakan group can be an example in fish cultivation for the community.
