She had given her all, a good 15 years in the company she worked in. She waited for patiently for her opportunity but to see only others in her department slowly promoting. Her work performance is well known to others and her knowledge in her field of work is second to none.

While there seem to an opportunity for promotion for this year, during her 1 on 1 check in with her supervisor, she was informed that due to cost cutting measures, there will be no promotion for this year. And her supervisor told her, "Don't worry Charlene, your work is good and people known you to be the best reserve the department had, the only one whom is able to cover everyone no matter who is on leave."

Upon hearing this, Charlene extend her hand and shook her supervisor's and said, "I had enough of this reserve nonsense you keep telling me. You better look for a new reserve. I quit!"
