We need to put a stop to giving plastic bags at the supermarket for groceries. The amount of plastic bags that are issued is humongous. Even when bag contents could be maximized, people just bag things separately and end up taking more bags.

These bags when discarded will have a hard time disintegrating, many of which floated to the coastline and partially break down into small bits which ended up being eaten by coastline animals and marine life.

While we think the plastic bags are not doing hard, the sheer amount of efforts required to prevent harming the environment is way larger than what one can imagine. Numerous beach cleaning efforts can reduce the impact but the volume of production just overwhelms the effort.

All we need is to reduce the need for such bags and thereby reduce its production. If you think you want to grab a bag to store your stuff at the supermarket, please stop it to spare a thought for the environment. Thank you in advance to prevent harming our already injured earth even further.
