As the dateline is just 1 day away, Johnny's supervisor reminded him over instant messaging to remember to put in his entry for the bi-annual engagement survey. This survey is something that matters alot to the management and the big boss or commonly known as the King of the department.

Participation is not the only requirement, the King expects way more than that. There is no such thing as an average input or even a negative input as they want a strong message of the result and also any frustration or unhappiness with how things are being done, should have already been thrashed out before the survey opened. And the King expects a 100% score for his department as it will be bragging rights for him when he showcase to the executives.

While that is the expectation, but that is not how the ground truly felt. They felt loads of oppression and unhappiness. Many things were unfairly executed or assessed. Many whom didn't want any trouble just go with the flow and gave a good score. But Johnny hesitated, should he do the right thing but reflecting the ground sentiments and oppose the King or just follow the rest, continue living under oppression?

Johnny after some thought, just decided that resistance is futile and he need his job to pay for his housing instalments, put in a perfect score for the survey. He felt horrible but under circumstances, go against his own conscience to make things look good instead of telling the truth.
