"Exploring Noale: Discovering the Charm of a Medieval Village amid Venetian History and Flavors"
Hello friends of this community, Today in this post, I would like to talk to you about a beautiful place that is located in my region, about sixty kilometers from my home, and it's called Noale. It's in the province of Venice. Noale is famous mainly for its beautiful medieval castle. But there are also numerous churches and palaces to visit. It's even said that Noale has origins dating back to Roman times. In fact, if you look at the map, Noale is located between Aquileia and Adria, two very important Roman outposts, so it served as a connection or an intermediate stop. I've been here several times because they hold an interesting historical event, like the Palio, which takes place every June. It's a competition between the districts of the city and attracts people from all over Italy. Among the valuable artistic heritage, there is certainly the Tempesta fortress, a stronghold surrounded by a moat and equipped with a pentagonal tower, named after the family that built it. If you want to immerse yourself in the typical Venetian culinary tradition, you can find many local products here, such as cheeses, cold cuts, and river fish. A specialty of this place is polenta with roasted small birds, a delicacy that is also prepared in other parts of Veneto. On the day I took these photos, I arrived very early. I usually do that when I go to these markets and I walked around the various stalls. Although I must tell you that I have visited much more interesting and larger markets than this one, you can still make excellent deals. It always depends on what you are looking for. As you can see in one of the photos, I climbed to the top of the main tower overlooking the street where the stalls are. Luckily, that day the entrance was completely free. I don't know if this is something they do often, but there is the opportunity to take photos from up there, especially for people who are passionate about photography. Lastly, I can say that Noale is the right destination for those looking for a medieval village rich in history and traditions. From a gastronomic point of view, it can certainly be an excellent point of interest because there, you can really find traditional dishes of the region. Thank you for reading. I hope you found both the photos and the story very interesting. See you at my next post here in the community!
I'm sharing these photos that I took when I went to explore this historic city located between the Muson and Dese rivers. I took these photos during the antiques market, which is held every second Sunday of the month, from 9 am to 6 pm. You can get great deals, but only if you arrive early.
