SEEK THE TRUTH

When you play with fire, you get burn. When you give fire for fire, everyone gets burn too. The world keeps moving in different ways people keep believing anything and everything. These days we are so lazy or maybe too scared or naive to search for what the truth is - what can set us free. We just accept whatever seems right forgetting how imperfect of beings we are. We go with the flow and that has eaten so deep into our world at large today. Not just that one person that started it at a small unit - a family.

The family as we were made to understand back in school is the smallest unit of any society. The family is the first learning ground for any child and once anything disrupt that learning ground for that child, it takes more effort for that child to find and accept the right things. These children often grow up with so many ideas and concepts about life and how things should work. As humans, we let our desires and pleasures get the most out of us sometimes and the sad part is, we are not the only ones that will be affected. Others that are even oblivious of what happened will be affected.

I once told a friend how it is important that as a leader of any group, seeking for the truth is necessary. Particularly in a home. I have seen cases when a child is falsely accused of doing something and even punished for it and I feel this is a huge negligence on the aspect of the parents. And sometimes, those children grow up with this hatred that is almost unquenchable. They interpret the whole situation in a way and live by that way. Parents don’t even see that as anything, what they have done to that child, because of their negligence of seeking to know the truth. But to them, they are proud that they are training their child well not to tell lie but they are oblivious of the truth and that they are only punishing the wrong person and the real culprit is still out there.

The truth is actually the only thing that can save us now. If you always want those things that make you feel good and comfortable, then you are not ready for the truth. The truth always hurts because it is as if it forcefully takes off your clothes in a public place, making you naked and that’s when you either seek to accept it or harden your heart to keep on doing the things you’ve always done. The more you care less about the truth, the more you get lost and not just you but everyone around you and eventually the whole world and that will all be because you ignored the importance of how the truth can save you.

My main aim of dwelling on the importance of knowing the truth is because I have heard so many stories and seen the way I act, the way people act and how we as humans form our ideas and beliefs. If we are not weary of the danger this is causing to us, then that is even scary. We are all humans and we all form our ideas and beliefs based on one thing or another so it is our duty to always seek for the truth in all these many different beliefs and ideas because that’s what we set us free and save us from getting burnt by the flame (The truth). The flame does not over look lies because it is more like water added to it. It is the truth that will keep us burning and burning - not getting burnt.

Something about the truth (flame) is, when you seek it, it will then find you.

Thank you for reading through. ❤️

Even the Bible says it, that the truth shall set us free.
That scenario of children getting punished unfairly is so relatable, and it happens everywhere. School, workplace... it's just so unfair.
May we not be blinded by lies. Thanks for sharing this ❤

The truth is bitter, as it is popularly said. But overlooking it, is even much worse. It's a pity that most times, children are punished for an act that isn't their fault but that of the parents. And the sooner this is exposed, the better for all because the effects of this negligence doesn't end in the family but extends to every other human out there.

Sadly, it is as you have said it. We have to always been watching out for lies because it will only affect us in ways that we can’t even imagine.

Thank you for stopping by, Soma. 🌹

One thing I've learned hope is that life problems always start in the family home. When I went on a healing journey I had to first make peace with my parents before I could make peace with anything else.

It's surprising the amount of baggage you take forward from your childhood and how that can create barriers to truth seeking. Good post :)
