NAVIGATING THROUGH THE HURDLES OF "NO SUPPORT"
Lately I've been so busy with so much but somehow I only get a few things done but I believe that it's because I'm more focused on the Long term benefits than the short term benefits. Hive as we know it to be, is a place that is filled with so many opportunities and if you are not an explorer or a good reader you might just miss out on so many of these Opportunities that presents themselves every single day.
Here on Hive, so many people are easily discouraged once they don't get good support on their blogs (even this author) and that's a bit understandable but then the big question is, what are you creating and how much quality are you giving out? I chose to be sincere to myself and that's why most times when I don't as much support as I wish for on my blog I just know that I missed something. It could be the community, the tags that I used, the title I used for my blog, the thumbnail or even the timing.
So instead of me to be an ungrateful hivian, I just choose to keep trying out different things better than I previously did and keep growing my content. As Taskmaster would always say, Hive is a business and until we treat it as such, it would be hard to make the most of it. Just imagine a business owner for instance, he or she is very concerned of what they offer to the market and if they don't get enough sales and another businessman does, it only means that there are some things he or she is not doing right and that also goes to every user on Hive.
Yes, it's true that some business grow better even when they don't put so much effort as some and that's because prior to when that business was formed or during it's formation, the owner has made quite a lot of good connections and those connections has boosted their business even without the businessman struggling so much. But then, it also takes some efforts to keep those connections in tact and that's something that most people fail at.
People are the bedrock of every business
If you've been on hive for more than a year or even less, you will agree with me that the best way to grow here is through making good connections with other users. I remember there was a time I read a post from Slobberchops where he mentioned how he started his journey on steemit, it was not a sweet experience at all from the beginning but that didn't stop him in anyway to keep giving his best and engaging with so many people on the blockchain.
With his consistency and persistency, he was able to make quite a good number of connections there and when some part of steemit became hive, those connections be made there still extended here. Now if anyone sees his content and how much support he gets, they might think that's how it has always been but that is a lie, Chops worked so hard for what he is enjoying today. Infact most of us are super fortunate to have gotten to know hive when it became Hive if not we wouldn't even be here anymore.
Not just Slobberchops, there are other Hivers who came in from steemit and most of them that are doing well now obviously put in so much effort back on steemit and they are reaping just what they sow. And that's one reason why so many communities and community founders always express the importance of engagement on the blockchain. Get to know other writers, most of them share some really personal things that you can even use to get to know the type of person they are even outside Hive.
The only way to get real support here on hive is by getting genuine connections first. Yes, we might be lucky to be getting some good upvotes most of the time but then what truly pays over time is the number of connections you've gotten and the only way you can get those connections is through genuine engagements with other users and communities. Give people reasons to remember you on the blockchain a reason to want to support what you do. If you have been here for up to a year and you just have less than 50 follows excluding the follow for follow, then it means you are not doing enough.
Hive is a social platform and if you are not socializing then you are defeating part of the purpose why the Hive blockchain was built in the first place. Rewards will definitely come with time as long as you keep engaging right, creating more quality Contents and supporting different communities and projects, don't just seat idle and wait for huge rewards, go work for it!
I've had days when I could barely get up to a $1 on my Contents and the truth is I do feel bad especially when I put in a lot of effort into creating that blog but then I also remember those days when I get even more than expected and I feel very grateful. As humans we are bound to feel entitled sometimes but that is not something we should be doing. Instead of feeling so bad and wronged how about you go engage with others or maybe make some research on how to keep growing?
Never give room for the feeling of entitlement, it's definitely going to come, instead, just keep on looking for ways to improve more on yourself and it's only a matter of time before you start getting even more support that you would never have imagined. And also, don't expect too much so your expectations won't be cut short. Those people getting more supports than you are also putting in effort in one way or another, you just have to think of what works for you.
That's all for my advice to whoever cared to read, it's a pleasure sharing this with you. I hope we keep growing and make Hive a better place with our amazing Contents and engagements.

For something good we need to struggle and in case of Hive platform it's also the same. The connection between users is the most important thing and I think it's brings value for us. Nothing can be done overnight because it needs consistency.

That's right, we need to put in as much effort as we can and with time the rewards would come on it's own.
