MY TRIBUTE TO MOTHERS - LOH 185

Despite the fact that I wasn't privileged enough to enjoy my mother's love and understand the sacrifices she made for me, I know she still loved me, and I'm grateful to still have the opportunity to call someone mother. There are many people out there who grew up without having anyone to call mother, and even though I didn't live with mine, it's comforting to know she's somewhere I can reach anytime I want.

I was a lucky girl growing up because I got to call many women mothers; they were indeed mothers to me. Sometimes people even think they were my real mother due to the love they showed me. So, even though I never grew up understanding my mother's love and sacrifice, I still got to know how amazing it is to be loved by a mother figure.

Women who are mothers are strong! They're amazing, strong-willed, intelligent, resilient, virtuous, and many more. This post is dedicated to every woman who has been a mother indeed!

It's how you love me even when I feel undeserving of such love. I remember when you made drastic decisions just to please me, and in the end, you got scolded by your husband or friends. You were always observant of my every step, worried I might make the same mistakes as you did, so you always gave me advice whenever you got the chance. You praised me when I did something right and were disappointed when I was wrong, which helped me do better.

Your love towards me makes those around me think I'm more privileged than they are, even when I don't really have you to myself as I should. It's a mystery that I'm still trying to understand - how I was never blood-related to most of the amazing women I called mom, yet they were indeed mothers to me. I don't have much to say, but I know I've felt a mother's love for her child, and I'm happy to be a lady who will one day get the opportunity to also be a mother.

I hope I become a good mother to my children so they can be happy to have someone to call their mom. Mothers are like shields to their children, and it's always better to have one as a child; otherwise, many things become difficult. I'm grateful to @cautiva-30 for this beautiful topic suggestion. I hope you enjoy my little response to it.

Hello @hopestylist very touching your writing: ‘I was a lucky girl because I could call many women mothers; In fact, they were mothers to me’, I am glad that you appreciate the value of those women who showed you to have a real mother, thank you for sharing, a hug

I know what it means to feel parental love from people who aren't biological parents. Trust me. Cheers to all the amazing parents, far and near, regardless of blood. And to you, Hope, because you'll make a good one too.

This post was easy to read for me but I can feel the author's emotion. I am quite impressed to see how you expressed your emotions in simple words. I think expressing emotion in words is difficult but you have done it beautifully.

Thank you so much for seeing the simplicity in my post. Indeed it’s hard to express emotions in writing and I did have a little challenge here and there but I’m glad you enjoyed it anyways.

Mothers' love is unique and can't traded for anything, they loved us even when others discriminated against us, they stood by us even when others didn't, and they've received abusive words cause of the way we behaved outside. I'm glad I got to experience that love a little before my mum past. You made my eyes teary though.

I know, not I think o, I know you will be a wonderful mother to your kids because of how you are.

Sometimes I think about what mothers do and then I’m like wow, can I do this? Then someone will tell me being a mother comes with all that you need to be a mother and you won’t even know when you start doing all the “this” you’re questioning yourself now.

God bless all the mother figures in your life.

Aww, thank you so much my love 🥹.

Oh yes that’s what they say that we will get use to being a mother once we have that responsibility before us.

Thank you so much for your beautiful comment dear 🫂
