MY SMILE THERAPY

I wake up everyday with the opportunity to feel grateful despite how my previous day went - getting a good sleep always makes me feel light hearted and headed and I try not to at least steal that away from myself. There are so many things that makes me happy or at least smile without so much efforts and one of them is see a baby smile at me or make those funny but cute baby sounds. That has always lightened up my mood whenever I feel sad or just feeling locked up. I guess that’s why I love babies so much, they are part of what makes me feel like I deserve to be happy because they are just innocent, cute and don’t hold grudges.

So if you ever see me smiling, look around there might just be a baby around me or even far away, lol. I remember one of those days when I wasn’t feeling too great and I was with Jesse. Jesse kept looking at me and smiling, jumping as if he knew I wasn’t happy. Usually, he only laughs and play that much when I’m reciprocating the energy but that day was different. He usually likes flinging his legs in the air as if he was ready to bring down the walls of Jericho with it. His legs are so strong! I would always put him on my thighs to lie and my stomach suffers for it.

That day, Jesse was his usual play self just that this time, he has made up his mind to not let me ruin his play life, lol. He was so happy that I had to look at my face to see what was so funny until I realized he loved my phone’s pouch. But just seeing how happy he was, I just kept smiling and crying at the same time because I was really feeling sad but little Jesse just couldn’t let me cry in peace, lol. Well, after some time, he slept off and I was left all by myself and I had the time to cry and do whatever I wanted. It got to a point that I thought about how unknowing to him, he tried to make me happy and that lightened up my mood again.

I wiped my eyes and I tried to sleep too. And while I was still asleep, I could hear his tiny voice. I woke up to see Jesse’s eyes wide open and you needed to see how I burst into laughter and he gave that cute startled looking face, haha. These days I go through my gallery and I see most of the pictures I took of Jesse and it just makes me feel happy. It’s always a blessing to be around children and I’m more than blessed because I can always replay a particular moment with Jesse by just scrolling through my gallery. Sometimes he appears on my featured images and it’s really nice.
