LIFE’S SIMPLE PLEASURES: A DAY WITH LITTLE MAN
For me, nothing beats a stay at home day. It has always been this way for as long as I can even remember. I love stay at home days because I don’t really have so much to do except being lazy and just doing what I want. Since I came for my holiday at my sister’s house, I have been trying my best to read my books daily no matter what and this is because, as the day goes by, resumption keeps knocking on the door and it worries me. Not only because I’m not fully prepared for the exams but because I’m tired and I still need some rest.
Well, I’m happy I got a day for myself but too bad it wasn’t really a day for me to rest because in the end I still felt stressed, lol. I woke up quite early as always and I did my house chores, after which I took my breakfast and then went to the bathroom. When I was done, I spent some few hours reading my books. I started feeling sleepy 2 hours into my study session and I decided to take a break at that point. But before I could retire to my bed, I heard someone calling me and I knew it was goodbye to my rest, lol.
My sister’s baby was awake. My sister was busy and even planning to go out to get some things for the family, so I had to spend some time with little man. He was in a very good mood that day because all he wanted was someone to play with him. Even sometimes when I needed to do something, he didn’t mind as he just continued having fun by himself. We did a lot of things together and I can remember singing different songs for him just to make sure be doesn’t cry.
After sometime, he became hungry and the moment he was done eating I tried to assist him to help him be in a good position for his food to digest well. He threw up a few times on my body though. When I finished helping him feel comfortable, I put him down so I could get something to drink from the refrigerator why I continue watching a movie. Little man was so excited all on his own and I tried to capture those moments but once he saw my phone positioned in his direction, he just stops being too excited, hehe.
Spending a day with the baby wasn’t planned for but I enjoyed taking care of him until he finally fell asleep. That day, I didn’t plan spending most of my time with him but it happened anyways and I was happy I have done most of the things I needed to do before that happened because I would have suffered for it. That one experience taught me the importance of doing things when you need to because the next moment is not certain at all.
The fact that I woke up early helped me to get things done earlier than usual, little did I know that I was going to be spend the most part of my day babysitting. I’m just happy that I got such an opportunity because very soon I will be going back to school and I won’t have such an opportunity again. I enjoy babysitting and it becomes even more enjoyable when I don’t have anything to do and that day was just a perfect day with little man. 🤭
Thank you for reading through. ❤️

Kids are like that, the moment you put your camera to their face to take a snap shoot, that's when they will start giving you a serious face
Yeah! I think they are just curious most of the time. 😂

Hey there, Hope. Like you, I love stay-at-home days. Nothing beats that, really. I love everything that comes with rest. Just chilling on your bed, Netflixing and chilling.
Kudos to you, love. Even though you are tired, you still keep reading every day and I'm super proud of you for that. You're right, resumption is knocking, but you just keep doing your best.
Mr Azikiwe’s face is now on Hive.😂😂🤭 Next time, don’t let him see the camera.

Yeah? I’m proud of you more, darling. 🥰
You’re right, I shouldn’t let him see the camera but I always get too excited to capture that moment and I end up ruining everything. 😂
